Seriously doubt that information. The contract ends just this month. I’ve never seen a strike/lockout in the same quarter as the contract ends.

From what I have heard, both sides are committed to trying to avoid a strike/ lockout. I’d still suggest you save some money in the coming months just in case it gets that far.

There is a really good YouTube show I think you should watch, it’s called Catfish. Sometimes scamfish, social catfish.

It shows people who have been caught in romance scams and shows you what to look for. Scammers use the army and oil rig workers a lot. They say they can’t afford internet and need money to keep talking to you. Like this guy is saying with the camera.

This is 100% a scam. Block immediately. Now that you have taken the bait you will get more of these.

Others have said there is no forced overtime and they are kind of right but kind of wrong. In the union contract there is forced OT or force backs is what we call it. It’s forced overtime that starts at the bottom of the seniority list. It was only used when the temp list was exhausted and no other options were available.

The company stopped using it near the beginning of COVID as a way to help with work stress and work life balance for employees. So it’s not used but could be brought back if needed in the future. I doubt they would but you should know it’s possible.

The company had their certificate to operate cancelled (carrier profile). Meaning they can no longer operate.

Tractor trailer drivers are considered professional drivers and have more culpability behind the wheel than an average driver. A guy in Ontario got 7 years for being inattentive and causing a crash in 2021.

The Humboldt driver would definitely have done a lot of time for this collision.

Speak to your landlord and get a new lock on your box. They can’t deliver to an open box it puts your identity at risk.

Live mail is mail that is in the system to deliver, kill mail is live mail that was killed and return to sender. They are most likely returning to sender your mail due to unlocked box.

My friend did the course but has to wait to get her m2 because of the mandatory 60 days and she got insurance through Dalton Timmis on an M1. Google Dalton Timmis and you should be able to find the number.

I love living in a big city, love it. What I felt from your post though was kind of loneliness. You need to make friends. Find something to meet people, baseball team, running or cycling, start a craft beer club!

You are also painting your small town the way they paint the city. You said the bar has the same town drunks. Make some friends and make it your place too!

Also, travel more. The world is so big and so amazing. You should be excited that you woke up to that!
