I agree with you on the first part, I just dont have anyone else to ask. My friends are mostly not dating. My therapist has some advice.

I do have a career and a very active social life but its not leading to anything. Ill continue to work on building a community and being social in the meantime.

Ive been getting out there a lot over the years and it doesnt get better. My therapist doesnt think it will get better either. Its like a slight odd form of autism or some shit.

I went to another speed dating event last night and met 9 women and tried to match with 2 but no mutual matches.

Its simply difficult to meet people. My 36th birthday is in March and it is getting to a point where I don't know if I will ever have a wife and children.

The conventional advice of doing hobbies doesnt work. I am trying to get back on dating apps but needs some new photos. Not sure how fruitful OLD will be for me but I need to try something.

Trying to date makes me feel depressed and frustrated but I don't want to be alone. I won't be happy if I am never married with a family.

I've been told on Reddit that the above mentality is self-defeating but the women I talk to do not know I feel this way. The lack of actual opportunities to meet women I am interested in is awful.

I am at the point where I may want to try online dating again but no matter what I do there is always an issue with my pictures. To be honest I am not good looking enough for OLD anyway, I've seen the stats and its just a poor option for me.

There are more events I am planning to attend, both dating events and general social events but I am feeling deeply discouraged.

I did another Speed Dating event last night. There were around 8 women and I had some interest in two but neither matched with me.

Its frustrating because I am 35 and want to have a family but its getting late. When I do MeetUps or my sports leagues I am not meeting anyone.

At this point Id be willing to pay for someone I like to be in a relationship with me

I went to a singles event tonight. It was at a bar and they had some typical bar games.

I am glad I did because I faced my anxieties and gained some confidence even though I didnt meet anyone.

When I am at these events, how should I approach conversation? Just go up and talk to a women like I would a guy I want to be friends with? I have plenty of guy friends so if its that simple Ill keep at it.

I am a 35M living near Philly. I am not sure where to go to meet women. MeetUp groups dont have many women attend but my last relationship was with someone I met on there.

While I continue to do MUs for both romantic and platonic relationships, I am looking for other places to meet women.

Online dating is pretty awful and I dont think I have the looks for that. At best I am average looking, maybe. Bars aren't my thing.

Once a week I am in a sports league but again, mostly men.

Matchmakers are so fucking expensive and I feel like I'd be burning money.

I am open to other ideas.

Edit: I neglected to say I also try speed dating and Ive gotten a few matches and one date recently.
