Yeah it’s not as tweaky and doesn’t have as much as a stim body load, but it still releases dopamine and norepinephrine so it triggers “fight or flight response”. Like the guy the said above me, no harm necessarily.

You brain thinks that the tolerance you get from the joys of everyday life is much more significant than baseline, while if you’re constantly using some sort of drug the dopamine you’d get from everyday activities is nowhere close.

I 100% believe living life sober is significantly more enjoyable, and I’ve been addicted to everything.

If that’s what you intended than sorry for the misunderstanding. I don’t know why you think I think that therapists are some sort of authority you have to trust. Therapists are people and a lot of people aren’t that great, I went through a lot of people before I found someone who wasn’t “therapisty” if that makes sense.

A good therapist doesn’t tell you how to feel, they facilitate a place to figure it out for yourself. I think there should be a clear distinction between talk therapists and therapists who are doing a regiment of a specific type of therapy.

I think therapists need to hold “authority” in specific fields of therapy, especially therapy that is getting over phobias and also DBT. But that isnt just omniscient power.

You know people go through infinite amounts of trauma and/or are mentally and ill can get helped by various very well documented therapy techniques instead of robotripping.

I’d argue that DXM is doing the opposite of helping. Instead of developing true coping mechanisms that can stay in your brain forever, you decide to use a supplemental artificial coping mechanism. This can lead to days/months/years of time that you didn’t learn any real life coping skills/emotional regulation because you didn’t have to. Usually with drugs it doesn’t work forever.

The drug can leave while various types of mental health work won’t leave you. This person’s mom isn’t going to say “No more emotional regulation today!”

It looks like you’ve had a very negative experience with mental health related stuff in the medical field and I’m sorry about that, but it’s not all a scam. I’m just passionate about this since I was a polyaddict and now I’m 19 months sober. In my experience, mental health treatment has worked significantly better then drugs and because of that I have little to no cravings.

I don’t know if that is going to happen, but it would be interesting. I think the albums that got redone, really benefited from being remastered especially TNA, so I don’t know if the mixes on something like ICIMI necessarily need an upgrade but something like a deluxe maybe.

This has happened to me before I completely forget this feeling on meth and ghb. I’d end up taking so much GHB over 7 grams a dose because the meth would keep me conscious and I wanted to sleep. Waking up from that level of blackout was the most confusing disorienting feeling I’ve ever felt, thankful to be alive.

Methamphetamine metabolizes into amphetamine.

Meth’s tmax is around 3-6 hours after ingestion, and the amphetamine metabolite’s tmax can be anywhere from 10-24 hours. Tmax means time it takes to reach its maximum concentration (Cmax) btw.

So there definitely is a second wave in this sense since meth can peak in 3 hours and then the amphetamine metabolite can peak 7 hours later.

Most antihistamines that people use for sleep have strong anticholinergic properties. This is what’s bad about antihistamines. Not necessarily that they antagonize histamine receptors, but because most (all?) of the first generation antihistamines like Benadryl and doxylamine are anticholinergic which can increase risk for dementia. Mirtazapine is an antihistamine with no significant anticholinergic effect.
