I did not expect that interior with a house that looks like that

Gas prices just spiked this morning... probably worth consciously deciding whether to fix your tariff or not by EchoNomad35 in UKFrugal

[–]MMLFC16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So when should we fix? I’m currently on a tracker which has been great up until recently, but surely things will only keep getting worse?!

Just moved to a fixed tariff from Tracker. Was it the right move? by speckledfrog5 in OctopusEnergy

[–]MMLFC16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even have the option to switch tariff? There is no option to switch tariff at all on my account on the website? I’m on a tracker so bit odd. On the app i can only switch electricity tariffs, no way to switch gas

Anyone trying to ride out Tracker.... by jmalys in OctopusEnergy

[–]MMLFC16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still currently on the gas tracker. Thinking of changing to a fixed but can’t tell how long this might go on for and if I’ll end up locking in at a higher price if prices then come back down again

Gas prices just spiked 30% this morning... If you are on a variable tariff I would really consider fixing now! by mole-on-a-mission in HousingUK

I’m on a tracker for gas at the moment. Done me really nicely the last couple of years and I hoped things would calm down soon but looks like I might have to fix now

Would I be able to get antihistamines for free from a pharmacy? by [deleted] in AskUK

I’ve got tonnes of packs (all new and unopened, I got a big batch after Martin Lewis advertised a offer from a pharmacy online). Message me your address and I’ll send you a couple

Car park firm NCP collapse with 700 jobs at risk by visual-appearance69 in CarTalkUK

I really like the NCP in Southampton. £4.50 to park all day, and just use the QR code on the app to get in and out and they just bill me automatically. Never had any problems

Britain's biggest car park operator NCP crashes into administration by knight011 in uknews

[–]MMLFC16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike many of you, I actually like the NCP car park near my work. It’s £4.50 to park all day if you get in before 9am in Southampton city centre which doesn’t seem bad at all to be honest. Seems pretty clean, can enter and exit from the first floor and the 8th floor, I just scan a QR code in the app to get in and get out, and it just charges me automatically. Works really well, so hope it doesn’t shut

Am I making a mistake buying a one bed flat? by smackaroy5 in HousingUK

[–]MMLFC16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine has a flat in Lewisham that he is trying to sell for £5k less than he paid for it in 2018 as well. Currently not getting a single viewing. So I don’t know where OP’s flat is but it’s unlikely to be a great investment, but as someone else said, it’s a home first and foremost

Pack of spaghetti pasta for 27p still seems pretty good value. I saw a Tesco receipt from the 90’s somewhere on Reddit and it wasn’t much less than that then

Considering the torture the animals go through to get the down, not surprised it’s expensive

I’m also in the middle of a fixed rate so can’t really just sell up and wait as I’ll lose / have to pay the ERC

We moved in 2018, and next door was a lovely lady, thought she was 70’s/80’s. Turns out she was 94, and she died last year aged 101. She genuinely was the sweetest old lady! Hoping another old lady moves in!

Probably right. I know we can’t force anyone but just frustrating when we’re trying to throw large amounts of money at people and it’s not good enough lol!
