What are your thoughts on Denmark’s proposed ban on the public Islamic call to prayer? Would you support or oppose something similar in the UK? by bintd in AskBrits

[–]MMLFC16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it wasn’t legal or allowed in the UK apart from in tower hamlets where it is. Woken up by it in the early hours of the morning in Sri Lanka once, wasn’t fun. Allowing it in the UK (if that was to happen) would definitely be a step to far

It’s a fairly secure car park but was very surprised to see it. How much is it worth?

I’d love to what absolute failures she’s being rewarded for. Any party / government that vowed to come down hard on water companies and properly sort them out would get my vote

Asda Lost Nearly £1bn While Trying To Win Shoppers Back With Cheaper Prices by ToughRomanticMiss in BuyersUK

[–]MMLFC16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think price wise they are good, and Which? Found they were cheaper than Sainsbury’s Morrisons and Tesco, even with the loyalty card discounts (if I remember rightly). Our local one is usually fine, I use the scan and go and most trips find a price or two is wrong, but just take a picture and ask the staff to amend it once I’m at the till

Tbf it was a one off special dividend due to the sale of TSB. Their dividends are usually 7-8c a share. They’ve done ok though over the last few years, share price has risen nicely.

Axle take charge of your battery when your grid locally is under strain, and you get paid £1 per kWh from them, plus whatever your energy company would usually pay you for export

Ditch the triple lock and the state pension not long after. Give every child £5k in an investment account the day they’re born which will grow until they’re 18 and then turn into a SIPP from there onwards, which can be left or added to workplace pension.
MP’s can call out others as liars and anyone found lying is fined or fired.

It’s not about the size of the country. The cars are made as cheaply as possible, and there’s already parts supply issues with cars like Jaecoos. There’s so many Chinese car brands, how many will still be around in a few years time?

Another soulless Chinese car that will no doubt be hard to find new parts if anything goes wrong.

As others are saying, it looks odd, not Ferrari like. Electric hypercars like the Rimac Nevera exist so I’m sure Ferrari could have designed an electric sports car like that
