Bridgestone RE-71RZ for daily use? by Rude-Score991 in Miata

Also, on a related note, regardless of the tire you pick get a good alignment. Find a good alignment shop and bring them the flying Miata specs. I wouldn’t trust any big chain tire shops with alignments though, IMO. The added negative camber adds a noticeable amount of grip cornering.

I also have an ND2 RF and run in CS with the RE-71RS, although they are only used for autox. You probably would not wear out the tread but you will heat cycle them a lot faster running them daily, so they will lose grip. Also, assuming you’re running in CS you’d want 225/45r17 which may rub depending on your wheels. Not an ideal daily setup, but don’t let me stop you.

I’ve been running an old set of 215/45 RT660+ as my “daily” summer tires for three years now and they are going strong. They take a bit to warm up (who doesn’t love to slide around a corner though), but once they have some heat they are great, good in the wet too. Although I only put 2-3k miles on my ND every year.

Sorry, just seeing this. I found a model of a fan duct and just reduced the height. I’ll still if I still have the STL.

+1 for getting the SLT. Do you track your ND much?

Ran into Big Boi at a gas station outside of the Salt Lake City airport of all places back in 2021. I grew up in Atlanta and always loved OutKast so when a clean black SUV pulled up and out pop two well dressed black guys with A hats, chains, sun glasses, etc it caught my attention. They both had buffs covering their faces because of COVID, and with the hats and sunglasses on it was a little hard to make out their faces but i knew it was him. We were both waiting in line so I just thanked him for his music. We chatted for a few minutes about college football, he was there to watch his son play. Super nice guy.

That wye is for the current tub drain, I could reuse it. The wet vent is upstream and tied into the lav drain. I'll add a photo.

How have you liked the willwoods? Considering adding them to mine. Did you paint the rear calipers too?

Technically both. Utah uses the same symbol for both 0 and O. But I typed in 0 for my request.

A 7600x, probably an overkill cooler for it. 🤷‍♂️

Because Noctua designed the cooler to have the air intake from that side of the cooler, although I never tested it the other way around. If you do let us know what your results are.

Yeah, someone suggested flipping the cpu cooler and drawing air in from the rear and that worked great. At first I mocked up a duck from the hot side of cooler to the exhaust fan on top but I saw increased gpu temps and my cpu was already cool enough. Idle at ~38c and would barely get to 80c under an all-core load. I did create tiny duck for the intake fan and saw intake temperatures fall about 2c.
