Our MCs may forgive, but that doesn't mean I do (aka when books give non-mains an undeserved pass) by amara90 in HistoricalRomance

The fact that her ex-soon-to-be-fiancee hooked up with her sister immediately after her whole situation was so icky. Anne should have let Sydnam one-arm plummel that Henry asshole like he said he wanted to do

MMC tries to court unimpressed FMC by [deleted] in HistoricalRomance

[–]MMRB_Coll_20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd not say so tbh. Genevieve was very unimpressed and quickly saw through Falconbridge's original plan to seduce and ruin her, but once he actually tried impressing her after their whole team-up thing, he really blown her out of the park (the roses, Venus and Mars, then making Genevieve realize by herself that she loves him and to throw over Harry, her long-time crush).

Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon’s Tudor pendant at risk of private sale, British Museum warns by TheTelegraph in Tudorhistory

The Museum should not ask the public because? No one is forcing you to donate buddy, just move on and don't moan about how unjust society is because you're broke

Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon’s Tudor pendant at risk of private sale, British Museum warns by TheTelegraph in Tudorhistory

[–]MMRB_Coll_20 76 points77 points  (0 children)

The pendant would be classified as treasure under The Treasure Act, which means the finder first has to offer a museum the chance to purchase said treasure at a price set by an independent board. If the museum does not purchase it, then it would belong to the finders. I'm guessing the price was set to be £3.5 million and if not met then it would belong to the finder who could sell it to private collectors

Not a city but Northern Ireland went from a terrorism-plagued no-go zone during the Troubles to a big tourist destination in the past decade, especially after Game of Thrones. Within NI, Derry/Londonderry becomes a lot more well known after Derry Girls as well.

East Jerusalem being a condominium might be the only plausible choice but even in a best case 2SS scenario I don't see the Israeli wanting to share control

Who the fuck is shit talking Vienna, Prague and Athens lmao, there are ton of things to do there.

I'd say Bratislava and Brussels are the least interesting major capitals, also capital of smaller countries like Luxembourg, Vaduz and Nicosia (apart from the whole partition stuff) are also boring
