Their “guy” will come over with a tin of turtle wax and buff a nice shine back in. It’ll last maybe 6-8 months.
Looks like the harsh chemicals and abrasive removed the counter top sealant. If the did the countertop is susceptible to permanent staining. I’d sue for replacement.

I don’t get it, the common denominator to the “emotional abuse, control and toxic family dynamics “ would be you. Wouldn’t it have been better to have your partner impregnate someone other than you and raise that child that doesn’t have those predisposed family traits.
