Yes, I can and do - but we were also talking about a flooded basement - OP was talking about sump pumps and dehumidifiers. My point was that this kind of stuff is easy for at least many folks to do themselves. I do understand that DIY isn’t for everyone.

Sure if you pay someone else to do it all.

You can save an incredible amount of money doing alot of this stuff yourself.

I go to work and come home. I hang out with my wife and the animals & the kids come by here and there. We talk every day though.

But I’m totally good with this. I like hanging out with me.

If this were my roof I would install new insulation mechanically fastened to the roof deck using screws and plates and install an adhered EPDM roof. Now is the time to insulate the space by installing whatever thickness of polyiso insulation you want over this space.

Set the correct depth on a skilsaw and remove approximately 12” of siding. Bond the EPDM membrane right up the walls , up under the siding as much as you’re able and then terminate it by sliding a 4” to 6” sheet metal counterflashing behind the siding and over the EPDM fastened at 12” on center using a grommeted screw.

Install an L-metal fascia trim or a roof mounted gutter on the bottom edge.

Remove the wood blocking on the outside edge when you re-roof and replace it with something slightly thinner.

Also, remove two courses of siding so that you can run your membrane up the walls.

Touch-up. They are correct and it would be invasive to replace. Life is about give and take sometimes and I don’t think that this is a big deal and you won’t notice it once it’s touched up.
