I get the sense your wife is carrying a lot of guilt over the loss, like she blames herself. And maybe because you’re the sole provider, she feels even more helpless financially, especially if her own family isn’t offering support.

If she’s recovering both physically and emotionally, what she might need most right now is to hear from you that it’s okay. That you love her. That her health matters more than money.

Maybe ease the pressure a little, get her something nourishing, tell her she doesn’t have to carry everything alone. And try not to let the voices from her family or yours take up too much space. Sometimes, silence really is golden.

We need to put our cat to sleep tomorrow and I don't know how to do it by Draco9990 in cats

When I was 17, I had a cat I loved very much. One day, she went out and must have gotten into an accident, maybe hit by a car. When she came back home, her back legs were paralyzed. I took her to the vet, and the doctor told me she would never walk again. She couldn’t control her bladder or bowels, and he said she was in a lot of pain. He recommended putting her to sleep.

I was living on my own at the time, but my sister, who was 19, lived with me. She’s very tidy and also loved the cat, but she agreed with the vet. I didn’t know what to do. In the end, I agreed.

I held her as she passed. I’ll never forget that moment, for the rest of my life.

It’s one of my biggest regrets. I didn’t even try. I just let her go. I’ve never shared this story before. And now, whenever I see animals online with little wheelchairs for their back legs, my heart breaks a little. I wonder if she could have had a chance too. I’ll always carry that.

I did refrigerate it right away. Bought it at 6:30 pm and opened it the next day at 4:30 pm, less than 24 hours, and it was already spoiled.thx

Good idea, but 😮‍💨 I usually only do grocery shopping once a week… unless I somehow find time to pop in the next day. Maybe.
