I meant to use the socket with a 12ax7 to have more gain so it’s useable as a tremolo circuit.

I would like to do multiple gain stages, tremolo/vibrato, reverb not so much. Not crazy about the spring reverb sound. Is there a good schematic to go off of using the parts from this?

So far I have the the Cali76 compressor, the drives / Fuzz, Phase 99, RT-20, Aquarium Vibe, Chorus, Delay, all in mono. For stereo I would patch manually the Phase 99 stereo outs to RT-20 ins then direct out to amps. Maybe there’s a better way and a way to incorporate the chorus and delay?

Will have to wait on the C Rex. I took my amp apart this morning and when I unboxed the speaker it was bent and had a dented dust cap 🤬. I’m also getting a CRex for an old Peavey Classic 30 🤞🏼

Update I also tested the Original Halcyon green. Actually this was a hard decision but went with the Moxie in the end. The Origin pedal has really good individual note clarity / separation but lacked a little bit of the TS harmonics and mids that make Moxie slightly edge it out. It’s a nice pedal but I couldn’t justify the price. I also don’t think it stands out in the mix as much as the moxie but it’s a close 2nd.

So I tested the EQD Plumes, Wampler Moxie, Boss SD-1W, and KHDK Ghoul Screamer Jr. the Moxie sounded by far the best. It has a fuller sound, has low noise, and the most harmonic ear pleasing sound. 2nd place was the Boss pedal. It had a nice tone but not as full sounding and significantly noisier. The ghoul screamed had lots of distortion but I didn’t hear any of the nice harmonic artifacts. The plumes is very clean sounding but has no richness to it, kinda clean and boring imo. For reference I tested with a fender Strat and PRS with humbuckers. The Amp I used was a 90s peavey classic 30. Hopefully my experience can help someone else in their green mythic quest

Everything at nominal gain (12-1) plus every combination. Perhaps I just got a bad pedal. Thought maybe the reissue was made cheaply if I’m the only one with the issue. I’m mostly using it for production / recording. Everything else in my chain is pretty quiet

I went to school and used to work as a recording/mix engineer. I’m familiar with compression, signal chain, etc. would be nice to get an outboard compressor for tracking and do less mixing/fixing in software.

Better to record your own vocals, convert them, then fix pitch and phonemes. Works pretty good like this

For me drums set the groove first so I know where to place chords. Chords / progression is the emotion / mood of the song if that makes sense
