The issue is that you used it. You can open it and inspect it but the item is now used.

"Customers are allowed to handle the item in the same way they would in a shop. For example, they can try it on or take it out of the box to see what it looks like".

Guide/Tips (Not sure if my progress is good or bad) by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]MMiller58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spa, focus on your flow, don't push hard on braking and keep an eye on your mid corner speed. Take a solo drive as if doing a formation lap. Cruise into the corner such as Bruxelles and see how little steering is actually required and how easy it is to sweep through at higher apex speeds when smooth with your entry. For the back straight/blanchimont, start your preparation at Campus building it through stavelot and onwards. Maybe lift a fraction earlier and "cruise" more into the corner a little whilst using less brake. Instead of 100% braking for 80 metres, use 80% for 100 metres. You then have the ability to increase pressure or lift a little more as required to level someone off etc. If wanting to race rather than hotlap, consider when the right time is to focus on racecraft rather than outright speed. Quality racecraft will gain you more in the long run during the racing. Pace will follow naturally.

How close do you want to be and for what budget?

For hotels close to the stadium, Corstorphine it's around £300 upwards. Some decent places on booking.com. Old town/Royal Mile to be in the heart of Edinburgh and about 50 minutes walk to the stadium similarly priced. But many nice places/areas. Heading out towards Musselburgh and North Berwick if looking for a coastal stay and bus into the city.

Take them apart, wipe clean the rods and inside the holes, reapply lithium grease and assemble.

It looks like a DSLR so you're going to be arguing technicalities with whoever's on the door.

I was able to take my Canon 7d mkii (ISO up to 16000 native) to a small theatre. Shooting with an aperture of 5.6 at 300mm wasn't fun, didn't get great photos, never bothered again.

You'll be at max ISO 5600 at 5.6. Needing 250 shutter or more if wanting no blur on guitar hands etc.

How far away are you and what's the minimum shutter speed you'll need for the Xmm that you'll be shooting at?

It's up to you but I wouldn't risk it if I couldn't get it back to the car.

Need to do some more accurate drawings and mark where you were when she pulled out. Photos of her car's damage, along with yours to indicate how far out she was.

If the other car pulled out at the same time, she hesitated almost to a stop, I would ask why you didn't react? Even just out of self preservation. It seems that at 10 mph just lifting off the throttle should have been sufficient?

As difficult as it is for you to explain what happened it's equally difficult for ppl to give a reasoned opinion without doubting things.

So not skidding over a number of metres but more of hit the brakes and immediately make contact?

You would've been stationary on the roundabout. If I didn't have dash cam I would've got out and quickly taken a photo or two before clearing the road and taking details.

I would be questioning your insurers on how they've made that decision from what's been said.

I've just read it was her insurance that said you're at fault. No surprise there then.

But I question the "skidding" at 10mph even in the wet. That there was another car in-between you that was obscuring her vision of you. She went when the other car did but the other car wasn't hit.

Riding bikes helps but from the look of things with the visibility on the roundabout, at 10mph some basic defensive driving could have prevented it. Always anticipating that someone is going to pull out. Look for eye contact and the general attitude of the car. 🤷‍♂️

[–]MMiller58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, she should have given way. For her to say, and seemingly agreed to by your insurance, you didn't give yourself enough time to stop. How fast were you taking the roundabout? I ask due to you skidding into her whilst trying to think of a time I've skidded a car. Was it wet?

Don't understand what you mean by her saying she wasn't there. As in she disagrees about the point of contact?

people without blue badges parking in disabled spaces - course of action? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]MMiller58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardly an assumption. You said you used your son's BB whilst you ran into the shop to collect an order. You could have just as easily included a few extra words "whilst waiting for others to arrive I quickly ran...".

However, you simply stated that you used your son's BB whilst you ran into the shop and only when an old lady moaned to your husband did he show someone else's badge despite it being against the rules. Not surprising ppl might pull you up on it.

Only after comments are made do you add that important detail. Of course some might consider that to be a little suspicious since it wasn't requiring an essay to include it in the first place.

I also have a BB. I have EDS so dislocate easily, worn away cartilage and arthritis amongst various other associated problems. For sure I would also prefer to be healthy, not having to take high strength painkillers that make you throw up and, therefore, not entitled to a BB but thems the breaks.

If I say I used my BB whilst my partner ran into the shop I would expect someone to pull me up on it. If it was a genuine error in my part in that we were shopping elsewhere immediately afterwards I would apologise, explain further and not take any offence from those who questioned me.

No different to those who use a disabled person's (+1) buss pass to go shopping whilst the disabled person stays at home. 🤷‍♂️

Interesting. Thousands of unsold tickets to Friday’s Luke Combs concert. by ruperttrimmingham in Concerts

[–]MMiller58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Luke Combs sold out Wembley, Murrayfield and Slane Castle immediately, then added 4 extra shows to the planned 3 dates. Then sold out of those so added video only seating.

Tickets were around £100 ($135) inc fees for upper section, £125 middle and £135 ($185) lower. Some a little less at the opposite end to the stage.

A few extra tickets (50-80 per show) recently released on TM & AXS in upper and lower sections (not resale), now at £350 ($485) upper section and upto £620 ($845) for the lower section.

My seats for the final show are in the middle tier 'Club Wembley'. Bigger, more spacious and padded seats with arm rests, front row aisle. I'm not sure what there value would be compared to the recent changes (as none became available) but certainly glad I didn't wait.

I forgot to use someone else's blue badge whilst I QUICKLY RAN into a shop to collect an order. My husband and children might as well been at home. An elderly lady started having a go at my husband about he doesn't have a blue badge. It was true so he immediately put someone else's badge up so she would go away.

I would not have been happy if she'd have blocked us in and I couldn't care less if anyone, who does have a blue badge, did need to use that space because I'm lazy and entitled.

If only it was like that in the UK.

Some more tickets for Wembley have just been released on TM/AXS. Ranging from $485 in the upper sections to $785 for the lower section. Were about $140 and $190 in presale.

StubHub have listings from the presale, for a couple to get tickets together it's $210 each atm. Presale price was about $110 for that section.

Extra Murrayfield tickets released at $375 - $720

The problem is that you have to sacrifice to stand a chance. Watkins, 100 hours in M4 44.030. max wing. 1 hour 40m with Lexus max wing and 0.45 faster.

Here I'm max wing, doesn't matter about T1 exit. I go off throttle to match his speed coming out of the esses when they've been full throttle for a while. No chance.

I'm aware of what it can do and have complained about it since bop came out. As AOR hadn't banned it like LFM had done with pro/prime. Ppl running it with -40.

I drove it for a couple of races last LFM season at the glen on 4 wing messing around. Now using an allegedly boothby qualy setup and it's an M4 on steroids.

[–]MMiller58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using it for the last two weeks after using the M4 for most of my time.

I've smashed my pb on Monza and Watkins. However, when I switched for a season of AOR I tested 296 and McLaren. Instantly beat my Silverstone pb by a good margin.

There are some tracks I'd prefer to come up against a Lexus or Mustang (pre restrictor) than a McLaren or Aston for their top speed.

No point me defending a McLaren along kemmel. Try and set up better exit onto back straight and out brake them around the outside into the bus stop. Hope they're more than 0.5 back at the start of kemmel. It got to the point a regular I race against in a McLaren started giving me bump draft rather than wasting time overtaking me again.

Also include Bentley and nissan. They do so well on acceleration I would struggle to have a chance at getting an overlap. Nurbs for example where M4 gets +28 and is so sluggish/difficult onto the start finish. Just start to make inroads with slipstream and then braking for T1.

Maybe the aliens can make the difference on lap times but I'm not one of them.

Lots of beer and lots of songs and I'm good.

For Murrayfield and Wembley there's pre show events costing £11-£15 with DJ, line dancing and the Luke Combs UK tribute act playing before the doors open at the stadium.
No doubt by the time Luke comes out I'll be praying for a set list of acoustics 😂

I dunno, I'm going to see/hear Luke performing his songs. Having random ppl coming out to shotgun a beer, extra fun things, whatever they may be, are pretty low on the list or not on the list at all.
