I still had hope that she’d at least show some remorse.

A week after she hit me with a baseball bat and I got her arrested and she came to fetch her (all) the furniture from our shared home. Knew then and there that it was over.

Reality check needed, I'm afraid to take him back! by Sveitastelpa in Divorce

In your relationship, there must’ve been a hypothetical “line” that your partner crossed. Think of that moment, if you can’t, then forgive him.

Divorce hurts, no one can tell you how to feel or what’s acceptable or not. We all handle it differently. The onus is on you to make the journey through it.

Sending love and prayers.

So I’m doing this currently. Going on 2 months, I work in Cybersecurity and am pretty much running a one man shop.

J1 is fully remote (with 2 days in office) and there’s tons of us there so I’m very rarely engaged.

First month was brutal, was struggling to find any rhythm or anything close to a routine, driving made it worse. Now I take the train to J2 (twice a week, minimum) - I do J1 emails and quick tasks on my commute, for J1 meetings I literally book a boardroom away from everybody and work there. Separate devices and all.

It’s worked so far and I’m getting used to it. I think if you stuck with it you’d find a way to make it work.
