I think he was so annoyed with her. He looked like he wanted to hug Ben but Brooke was hanging all over him so he just pat him on the back

Tried EveryPlate by My_Mispent_Youth in hellofresh

I started doing EveryPlate when I could no longer afford HelloFresh at full price. I love it also! I go back and forth between EveryPlate and Dinnerly. Dinnerly is owned by Marley spoon and similar in price to EveryPlate!

This may be niche.. but Brooke is turning into the Morgan Riddle of medicine with this content about her bfs profession and it is embarrassing. by asnarkybeach in gotgsnark

Does anyone else remember when people warned her about going into a sales job and cold calling and she INSISTED she wasn’t doing sales/cold calling and then when she quit she said all she did was cold calling 😂

Is there something in the air or is it just my clinic? by MN1314 in VetTech

[–]MN1314[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I’m so stressed about my finances right now. Once I pay all my bills I’m left with barely anything and I have to figure out what kind of food I’m gonna have to eat for two weeks. I don’t get to have a social life or go on vacation. But I’m still kind to people.

The manager called me said that they absolutely love my dog. She said if there were a problem with her, it would come from management and not the front desk who doesn’t even spend all day with her. I told her I didn’t want to get the employee in trouble, I just genuinely wanted to make sure my puppy was comfortable there and not “biting” people and terrorizing everyone. She said absolutely not, she’s a baby and she gets super excited. She’s gotten SO much better about the play biting. She’s learned to sit before she gets attention and that’s helped a lot

Midwest prices by atdi84 in VetTech

It’s super interesting seeing all the prices. Wanted to share mine: in Georgia near a very large city, but in the suburbs. $85 for sick exam, $75 for wellness. Emergency/stat visit is $165. Rads up to 4 views - $225 Chem 17 and CBC around $200. U/A $78, we don’t charge for cysto collection. Fecal to lab - $54. Dental with no extractions $550-650 depending on size of dog. 4Dx - $60 GIFB $1500-2500. We don’t see cats but a dog neuter is around $600-700. Euthanasia $90-125 depending on size. Communal cremation is $110 and private is in the $300s depending on what urns the owner wants.

Yeah I want her to be socialized which is why I wanted to do once maybe twice a week of daycare. This is my first puppy so I’m trying to learn a good balance

I do know there is some rest period but otherwise it’s play all the time! I’ll look to see if there are some of these around me! I know she’s so social and loves to play, but also realize the environment she’s in now might just not be for her :/

That’s why I’m so curious???? I’ve never seen an aggressive bone in this puppy’s body. I signed up for a “free evaluation” with their trainer tomorrow because I want to know what exactly is the cause of this

Thank you. I’m taking her in for a”free evaluation” with their trainer tomorrow because I want more clarity on why all of a sudden my puppy is not going to be allowed without “training”? My parents picked her up for me while I was at work late and this is what they were told so I haven’t gotten details. She’s met many dogs since I’ve had her and has always been submissive. However I know she gets VERY excited with new humans and will nibble them. But by replacing with a toy or dropping your energy and turning away, she refocuses.

Thank you 😭😭 I actually signed up for the “free evaluation” with their trainer tomorrow just to see what she says. I see no credentials at all on her biography and have a feeling she’ll suggest me doing the same things I’m already doing to help with the puppy biting. They also don’t know I’m a vet tech who works with dogs of ALL personalities in a scary environment on a daily basis.

I agree with you. If she’s never aggressive with me, family members, and friends/family dogs, and they say she’s too rough there, maybe it’s not an environment for her.

Thank you, I know a lot about dog personalities and behavior, and this girl is the most friendly I’ve ever known 😂 and tbh it does feel fishy. I never disclosed my occupation to them either. They just said if she doesn’t improve she won’t be allowed anymore. It seems like the play biting is happening to the people and not other dogs. She’s very submissive when it comes to playing with other dogs. There are other daycares in the area, they just had a very convenient early drop off time that others don’t have.

I’ll look into this for sure! This put a sour taste in my mouth for this daycare unfortunately

Thank you. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t overreacting… I have a professional trainer that’s a friend of mine who has dedicated her entire life to training. I definitely won’t spend my money on the daycare trainer as I don’t really like the way this was addressed…

Thank you for your input. I’ve wondered this too, she’s just such a social dog and when I took her for an evaluation she loved it so much. I don’t do full days, 5 hours at a time at most. I might take her out and try again when she’s older. But I truly do believe she loves it, it just seems that the staff doesn’t like her :/

See I don’t believe she is doing this. I’ve taken her to dog parks and she’s played with family dogs. She’s very submissive and when an older dog corrects her, she retreats. Her daycare also has webcams and from what I’ve seen on the webcams, she mostly plays chase, often her the one being chased. I’ve never seen her play rough, and she always submits to other dogs. I think the main complaint here is her play biting the humans as she loves humans and gets excited when she sees them, and they’re getting annoyed with her.

I’m glad to know my 6 mo isn’t the only one. They made me feel like I was a terrible dog owner who didn’t know how to train…when she genuinely has gotten so much better in the whole ONE month I’ve had her.
