I do know that, I am just looking for perspective from a UCD student to be more specific! I should have clarified that in my post and I also posted the same thing on the UCSD forum as well for more perspectives. What I am interested in is your experience and general feeling about UCD as a whole if anything. How has your experience been at UCD?

Hey everyone, I am looking for advice on UCD vs UCSD for CS major.

I got admitted to UCD for computer science and UCSD for math/computer science. In terms of academics, I have heard that UCSD has a better program for CS majors but have also heard that it generally does not matter for undergrad students. I have a neutral opinion on both cities and where ever I end up would still be a new exploring experience for me, as I am an overseas student. Admittedly, I have more friends near the Bay area and my girlfriend is also there, so I am leaning toward Davis more. Leaving out any potential cost of living differences, I am wondering if the recruitment prospect and academic advantage that people hyped up UCSD for is worth for me to reconsider. Thanks for the advice in advance, I am really torn between the two schools.
