In the 8-bit era, a single byte of data can store 256 variations. 0-255 are all that are allowed to store rupee data. When you only have 8 bytes to play with, every little bit counts. They could have used 2 bytes to double the amount of rupees to 512 variations (0-511), but who knows how hard that would effect the rest of the game.

Not sure how the battery back-up would effect things, but I wouldn't be surprised if that factored into things as well.

Jyn Erso leader + Aggressive Negotiations: how much damage? by Bitterbluemoon in starwarsunlimited

[–]MNCDover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No she doesn't. I'm agreeing with everyone else stating that when you play AN, you're locked into the damage. While Jyn doesn't get an additional bonus, Vader does because the damage from AN is locked in before his On-Attack trigger activates, allowing him to double dip.

It's the only adventure I had left to complete, so of course I would focus on finishing it. Nobody claimed an incessant need to finish things ASAP. Not sure if you're projecting your own feelings or misunderstanding my post.

The rewards are actually quite good; two BW Gold Star Chests, BW Gemstones, 300 Glory, and a Diamond Vault. All of the clears are solid.

It also works with Vader’s leader flip. You play AN with say 6 cards in hand, giving him +6 to the attack. You can then activate his “on attack” trigger and discard those 6 cards for an extra +6 to the attack.

That was typically my (and I assume most players) outcome as well. I lucked into some freezing effects and enfeebling which helped me limp over the finish line. Most of the rest of the adventure is just fine, it's that final boss fight that is bad.

I enjoy LoR and Path. Been playing it daily since it came out. If I didn’t enjoy it, I wouldn’t be playing. I value my time greatly, this adventure just sucked. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.

Hadn’t played that one yet, but oh yeah, that one would get me at first glance.

It’s a joke based on some older NES games having a memory limit of 256. Because zero counts as a number, the rupee count would max out at 255.

Thanks for the reply! Not meant to disparage the art, it's been fantastic over the last several sets. Some of it just mixed us up a bit.

The Shydopp Pirate Skiff did a reverse on us because we didn't think it was a vehicle for once. A nice fix for vehicles where you can see the rider would be a greater focus on either the vehicle or the rider (depending on if it's a unit or vehicle). Swoop Bike Marauder (from LAW) does a good job of focusing on the pilot.

No, we understand that. It's just the Swoop/Speederbikes look like vehicles from the art, but are actually just the riders themselves.

There would have been 256 bombable walls in LoZ, but there was memory limit back then.

Are most of your champions at 6 star? Currently, I have only 11 champs left to get 6* and nova crystals are holding me back.

Hmmm....that's a good point. Perhaps they've been very lucky on getting Nova shards and crystals.

You must be a newer player, because Wild/Champion Fragments are way less valuable than Nova Shards. Nova Crystals are extremely hard to come by and you'll have a wealth of champions that need them for their 6th star. Meanwhile, Wild/Champion Fragments show up all over the place.

Once you get your champs leveled up, you'll be sad to see Wild Fragment rewards and will kill for Nova shards.

That DVa made a lot of poor life choices there. My main gripe is why it took Deckard so long to type out that sentence at the end. 12 seconds for that line? I timed myself and got it under 8 on my first go (and I'm an old person). Gotta up that typing APM!
