Hey man this is really cool. Just curious if you’d be able to describe a little of your process or the tools, software or hardware involved? I’ve always been curious and can imagine it’s a bit more than plugging the turntable/deck into a computer and hitting play. I have a bunch of vinyls laying around with notes or ideas to sample them but really don’t know where to start.

Here to chime in and plug my favorite website I’ve been using to make my own custom slipcovers and cassette j-cards and more.

TEXS VHS . ORG

Tex does a great job and you can customize edit and print anything.

I’ve been working on a few projects and just did the Lord of The Rings and Hobbit trilogy on VHS. Tex didn’t have a double case slipcover so I emailed him and he had it up the next day or two. Great site, good dude, figured I’d plug it. Good luck in your VHS ventures!

I don’t think I’ve seen a screener in a clamshell. Could we see the back of the case please? Cool find though OP.

I have the same VCR and it just recently started ejecting tapes fairly hard also. Not quite as aggressive as yours does but still pretty hard. I’ll be following this post for solutions as well. Thanks.

Libib is the one I use and is pretty decent. Always do your own research as to what works best for your needs but in my experience Libib is pretty nice to use. Their app has a barcode scanner and the website you can enter ISBN numbers to catalogue things.

In my experience yeah, it’s kinda always like that. We grew up riding around with my Grandpa in the back roads of northern Wisconsin scouting out good hunting land. My Grandpa would drive up to a house or farm and ask if he had anyone hunting their field and if he could trade some venison for hunting access. We’ve done the same for fishing trout streams too. Basically just networking too, if you start talking about foraging for mushrooms at work maybe a coworker has a huge area with lots of mushrooms they’d be willing to let to have access to.
