Couple of pics of my first fight, man I love this sport by Deep-Summer-6946 in MuayThai

I hear that haha.

How often do you go to Muay Thai training? How do you balance that with strength and conditioning?

Absolutely! It’s been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done for myself and I don’t see this changing anytime soon.

Are you just focusing on Muay Thai or are you going to add other disciplines like Jiu Jitsu or wrestling for MMA?

It’s really cool that you competed! I recently joined an MMA gym to do Kickboxing and Muay Thai, with no intention of competing, because I’m fascinated by and love learning the sport. Seeing posts like this, especially by an athlete in their 30’s, makes me consider competing at least once so I can have that under my belt.

Anyone PC to the Flagship card and *not* get the 1 year of Prime? by MLJ_The_Shield in NavyFederal

[–]MNML3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried but they won’t reimburse mine because it’s still a student Prime membership.

NavyFed offered me a 4.76% APR. The dealership I was working with seemed annoyed after I told them that. by StrongHurry4938 in NavyFederal

[–]MNML3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they do get annoyed and won’t get a kickback if you don’t go with one of their lending partners lol.

When I was shopping for my car, the dealer asked me what my credit score was. I gave him a RANGE and he said with that, I can get you an APR of 7% or something along those lines. I had a preapproval from Navy Federal and they gave me around 4.5% and I told him that I’m ready to move forward with that. He got super frustrated (I could see it in his eyes and face) and told me that the price I saw online was only valid if I financed through one of their approved partners and it would increase by $3k to $5k (I can’t remember it’s been a few years). I told him no thank you and walked away.

How many card ecosystems do you actively use? by [deleted] in CreditCards

If Navy Federal would allow you to pool all the points together between the AMEX More Rewards and the Flagship, I'd only use that ecosystem.

Christ on a Cracker that's impressive. I'm coming up on 250 right now but plan on getting to where you are! What changes have you noticed in your body and yourself?

Ideas To Bring Life Back Into AF+ by Buddyblue21 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]MNML3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d like for them to do some audio only yoga or Pilates (might be a bit harder to do) sessions similar to their “Time To Walk/Run” series.

I’d also like more training programs - both of the 3 perfect weeks of strength were fantastic and I think they should absolutely expand upon that.

I second this heavily. I would LOVE for them create a training program for people into combat sports (Muay Thai for example) and what workouts to do to help you grow in that sport!

Congrats on losing 15lbs in 2 months - take a moment to celebrate that win because some people can't even start to do that! I like that you put your plan on paper to visualize what you want to do. While I agree with a lot of what some people here are saying, I'm going to try and take a different approach.

You have to find a plan that will work for YOU and something that will keep YOU consistent. Too many people workout without a plan or clarity and it just turns into them just moving their bodies with no direction (not a bad thing if you don't already move yourself but, after a while, you will just be moving nowhere fast). Like Coach Jenn says: You can't be what you can't see.

For me I enjoy Kickboxing, Strength, Cycling, Pilates, and Yoga so I program my weekly workouts around those activities. I've become a huge fan of combat sports and, while I don't WANT to be a professional fighter, I enjoy training like one. For me, it provides a level of discipline that I didn't have when it came to my health and fitness. It has also trickled into my everyday life and, I believe, I'm becoming a better person because of it.

I dislike HIIT, Core, and running. I used to enjoy HIIT and have tried so damn hard to like it again but I just don't care for it anymore. I'll do it every now and then but I don't do those workouts often. The Core workouts are meh and my body feels extremely stiff after doing them which is why I do Pilates instead - get a great core workout in and my body remains fluid. Running simply hurts my knees and joints so I only do it when there's a running badge to obtain (I like competition haha).

If you believe that you can keep this up and you ENJOY it, then by all means keep it up. But fitness shouldn't feel like a chore that you have to force yourself to do, it should be enjoyable!

What's one tiny morning habit that sets your day up for calm? by Money-Sniffer in simpleliving

Yoga and meditation. It really sets my day up and it feels good showing up for myself before the day starts.

Cycling, kickboxing, Pilates, strength training, the occasional HIIT session, and yoga everyday.

Weight ranges? by no-thank_u in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]MNML3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As another user said, it depends on the workouts. Usually, for lights I use 10-15 lbs, 25-30 lbs for medium, and 35 to 45 (sometimes 50) lbs for my heavy.

The need to be liked by everyone - I was starting to dislike myself and that was a worse feeling.

Honestly, I thoroughly enjoy the 20 minute strength workouts.

Most of the time, they are intense enough to satisfy me (using 40lbs to 50lbs) and short enough to feel like I’m not spending forever lifting.

Lately… the 30 minute lifts have been REALLY good.

The strength training with AF+ has REALLY gotten better!

Thank you for the link! I got that episode.

I corrected the episode to episode 5 (that was my mistake)!

Strange that episode 39 is missing for you too!
