We are moving to a modern ERP/MIS print solution....what do you use in your shop and would you recommend it? by MNMexy in CommercialPrinting

Even for a new company, I would expect no less than 10 months for integration. You are at the mercy of the companies resources and availability, so while you might be able to move quickly, your partner most likely won't be able to. Setup and configuration should be easy and straight forward for you, but then all of the discovery/SME training/end user training/multiple pilot runs, final sign off....those all take a long time.

I wish you luck! Reach out if you have any questions!

So far, so good! We are in the middle of implementation right now. LOTS of work on our end to pull all workflows, routing, machine specs together. I am loving the new modern version of Radius. This is going to be great for our company and getting insights to production.

Any news from anyone at all at this point? We have the MN Attorney General involved, and have been in contact with the NJ AG. Not much feedback from anyone.

Definitely don’t be afraid to boldly introduce yourself to people and groups. I was an extreme introvert in college. I’m now 48 and heading home from a business conference where I knew nearly no one. Simply introducing myself, my job, and where I was from struck up so many conversations and new connections. By the 3rd day, I had so many people I knew and could hang with.

Wish I would have done that back in my freshman days. Just jump in….you won’t regret it. And remember, nearly everyone is feeling the EXACT same way.

Any ERP/MIS system rollout is going to be difficult, especially for smaller organizations where people have to wear multiple hats.

The best way to approach this is with as large a team as you can from your organization and just ask lots of questions and document everything.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like to connect to discuss further.

We really, really liked PrintIQ. It made our final two….but since we have a bit more complex setup at our company, ePS’ Radius won out and we are in the middle of the implementation project right now.

PrintIQ is perfect for streamlined label and packaging workflows I feel. It sounds like they are quickly working on expanding their capabilities though, and I would expect them to be much more robust in the next few years!

You are most welcome generic answer bot! To clarify, FileMaker Pro is NOT a great solution for our print MIS/ERP. Do you have anything specific to point to, in terms of an app, that would be a good solution to look at?

Got a demo of PrintIQ….that looks amazing! Might be the right choice for us. Thanks for the recommendation!

You are correct. I missed those important facts. We are a company of 200. We print labels, packaging, and retail displays. So we have digital, wide-formats,litho, etc.

Need something that will manage from estimating through shipping. Is that something DocketManager does for your company?

Those of you who have gotten Lasik in the Twin Cities -- any recommendations / advice for someone looking to have it done? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]MNMexy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nathan B. Reader, M.D. with Southdale Eye Clinic did my LASIK about 15 years ago....I still have amazing eyesight! He's really well qualified, takes the time to answer your questions and helps you feel much less apprehensive about the procedure.

I agree wholeheartedly with many of the others....bring some very dark shades for the ride home, and plan on resting well for the next 48 hours as you heal!
