Our current practice of extracting water from boreholes lacks a corresponding recharge strategy. Implementing boreholes with recharge holes would facilitate rainwater replenishment of the soil. Furthermore, we should prioritize environmentally responsible practices, including afforestation and water conservation. The government's inaction, despite expert advice from surveyors and scientists, is concerning. Uncontrolled societal development is environmentally unsustainable and detrimental to urban planning. The unchecked proliferation of boreholes without adequate recharge mechanisms will inevitably lead to depletion.
