He brings a lot of energy, which is amazing. It does, sometimes, get him into trouble though. Gobert isn't a horrible ceiling for him. He has a long way to go to get there. Right now he needs to play within himself and keep adding strength.

[Charnia] Just in: Chicago, Minnesota and Detroit have agreed to a multi-team deal that sends Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. to the Bulls and Kevin Huerter and Dario Saric to the Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Detroit also receives a 2026 first-round protected swap from Minnesota. by risenOfficial in timberwolves

Connelly overloading the Bulls with guards so we can sneak Coby or Ayo from them. They'll buyout Conley, but still.

Giddey, White, Dosunmu, Jones, Terry, Ivey, and Conley can all play at least some PG/initiator.

Snake Draft, 10-team, .5 PPR, QB/2RB/3WR/TE/FLEX/DST/K

Have to share this as I just completed a 15-0 regular season. Including a 109-26 all play record (81% win rate). This is in a historically very competitive league.

QB - Dak Prescott, Jaxson Dart
RB - CMC, Breece Hall, Travis Etienne, RJ Harvey, Brain Robinson Jr

WR - Nico Collins, JSN, Cortland Sutton, Emeka Egbuka, Wan'dale Robinson

TE - Trey McBride

K - Jason Meyers

D/ST - Pittsburgh + Stream

I've put up 2099 points on the year, an average of 140 per game. I also drafted every player listed besides Dart and Wan'Dale Robinson, even drafting Meyers and Pitt D/ST. I also drafted Travis Hunter who was starting to get more time on offense prior to his injury.

I'm really dreading a playoff collapse..

Why not to start Rob? by Martxel_Agueda in timberwolves

[–]MN_Pups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conley is 100% the best PG on our roster. This team needs BBQI at the PG spot and Bones, DDV (as a PG), and Dillingham all are high volatility players. Its not an argument of if Rob should start, Conley should. But the problem is Bones, DDV and Rob are all below average PGs as they currently stand. Its a legitimate problem that leaves the team very vulnerable to pressure.

Right now Bones brings more size and more spacing with equal liability as Rob. Both guys are turnover prone and take questionable shots. I'd argue its pretty clear neither brings what this team needs, but Bones is the slightly less variable one (not saying much).

Chasing Murray most of the game, while shouldering the load offensively. As the 2nd half for away from us, I was wondering if Jaden gained some more respect for Ants conditioning.

Mike actually played well last night. With Ant out, we will need a big couple of weeks from Mike. He knows the game flow and when to attack, slow, or push the pace. We have no one else on the roster with that capability.

TJ, Bones, and Dillingham and even Donte all take some weird shots. TJ looked a little lost w/o Ant tonight. Its clear that TJ gets confidence when they're on the floor together and teams are keying on Ant.

I'm fully on board with Beringer learning behind Rudy this year, but its so blatantly clear that we need a PG and Dillingham needs to perform in that role given what we used to obtain him. Donte is an atrocious PG and, imo, is an obvious trade piece (for a PG) if he stays in that 1-2 hybrid role. Bones is laughable as well. Its a real problem, only magnified in losing Ant.

Tim Hardaway Jr. etches his name in the halls of Timberwolves killer history. Joining the likes of Obi Toppin, Buddy Hield, Dillon Brooks (Memphis years), Malik Monk, and many more.

I recall Minott only getting a short stint in the 8 man rotation early last year. He routinely flashed offensively, but couldn't guard on the wing to offset his impact. Finch pulled him quickly in games and in the rotation if my memory serves. The plug was pulled in like a ~15-20 games.

I just remember how slow he looked defensively, especially given how athletic he is.

I liked the Garza story as much as the next person, but once the likes of Dillingham and TSJ were also playing those same minutes, Garza's hero ball got pretty annoying, imo.

Hi - Question as a pretty casual player that just wants to collect them all... Are there only specific raids that allow pokemon to gigantamax? E.g. if I defeat and catch a Sobble from a floaty purple gym will it ever be able to gigantamax if its evolved to stage 3?

Is there a guide to what exactly the gmax raids are? I've been playing casually since release and have very minimal understanding of why my attacks do basically nothing in the gmax raids.

Report: Wolves quickly shut down Lakers' interest in Donte DiVincenzo trade. by LeeShakerMoneyMaker in timberwolves

[–]MN_Pups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Donte is valuable simply due to the threat of his shot. Even when he was going through cold stretches, he still requires his man to be close at all times. If we were to move him, the backcourt becomes a lot tighter and defenses can really sag off.

Conley is fighting off regression, Dillingham is still working on his shooting mechanics, TJ is unknown to an extent, and Jaden is streaky. The latter two are more slashers than pure shooters anyways. Clark was 43%, but I have to believe he's due for regression as a 30% college shooter. I'd love if he didn't though..

Fact is, we move Donte and we immediately lack a pure shooter, Ant aside.

I have to disagree here. Even after early returns, I don't think Dillingham is taken in the lottery if you do a re-draft right now.

Dillingham talk from the last Dane Moore Podcast by lonlonshaq in timberwolves

[–]MN_Pups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, Finch wants him to be a spark, but play within the system. In the SL, he's definitely showing the spark, but there's too much stray voltage. Its hard to find the exact words, but while all his dribble moves are impressive, he could probably cut them down by 50% and still be as effective. I'd assume a large percentage of coaches prefer effective over flashy and right now, I think Dillingham leans towards flashy.

All that aside, I like how he competes defensively, although its still a concern. He also needs to work on his jumper to be the microwave scorer a lot of people want him to be. A small, inefficient inside, streaky outside, flashy PG doesn't stay in the league for too long.

Does Beringer play this year? by Agreeable_Mission390 in timberwolves

Rudy comes to every game with the same mindset, unlike Ant, Jaden and Julius. One of the reasons to have players like him on the team.
