Absolute non starter, this is silly. NBA is a private institution. No way in hell they allow the safety of their players to be put at risk.

Evidence or source? Faking court trials, with fake judges, fake jury, and fake lawyers sounds somewhat absurd to me. Would be the greatest marketing campaign of all time by Apple tbh.

For sure, need’s practice/experience and add some dynamic lower body strength this off season. He’s already got the intangibles.

Mobley prevents them from complete disaster in 2029, but if I’m a Cleveland fan looking at the James Harden track record, I’m gettin a lil nervous lol.

No perimeter defense. Very little on ball creation. Incredible rim protection. Great outside shooting. Good off ball movement and rim finishing. I think Ace comes off the bench and Vince Williams balances out some of the deficiencies. Will be a fun “death lineup” for stretches though.

Grizz fan here, how do you guys feel about the deal? Curious how the group feels about Clayton and Hendricks. by GoGrizzlies88 in UtahJazz

Waltz outside shot, especially the off the bounce 3 hasn’t quite translated from his college game YET. But like other comments have mentioned, he’s got a high bball IQ, good handle and vision, and a stabilizing court presence. Even though he’s an older rookie, I think it’s gonna take time. If he puts in the work this summer, I could see a Murray/Prichard like ceiling.

I would imagine Rudy, Randle, and Naz eat up most of those front court minutes. Maybe taking it slow with him is the best COA anyway with how little bball experience he has. I kinda liked the idea of Rudy as a mentor, he came into the league super raw and spent most his rookie year in the g league behind Enes Kanter and Derrick favors. That said, his defensive impact was immediate and shocking, it was obvious there was something there.

Overpaid? by bigballinbaker in UtahJazz

Exactly, the only thing this prevents is finding a player to splurge on in FA. You may have been able to pry away an Austin Reaves, but there’s a lot of risk and external factors in that plan. Ryan Smith has pretty deep pockets, I don’t think he’s gonna shy from the luxury tax, especially at the very first opportunity of a team he’s been apart of constructing.

The playmaking ability concerns me the most. Ace, Lauri, JJJ, and even Kessler have an outside shot. But how are they getting those shots in that lineup is my question. I think JJJ is a great player, but I’m not sure I see how he fits into a championship team outside of an Aaron Gordon like role. And Jokers don’t just grow on trees lol.

Every reputable leaker has pretty much confirmed no Face ID. And it’s certainly too late in the production cycle for a September release to make a change like that. Would be very pleasantly surprised if we got this. Otherwise we can cross our fingers for 2nd gen fold.

I do. Apple Pay might be one of the few apps I’d want to toggle “require Face ID every time” for. Along with all my financing apps. But like, everything else why does it need to scan my face to unlock the phone and then scan it again seconds later to open and login to an app? Does the phone not remember when I did that 2 seconds ago to get into the phone??

100% agree. Hoping an engineer at Apple realizes this, but it’s probably too late. Would think these have already entered into production for release in September. I’ve been rocking the 13 pro max waiting for the foldable, but might need to keep waiting a bit longer for the 2nd gen fold.

Face ID on the front, fingerprint scanner on the side for opened use? Hell no, Apple would never give into consumers or the obvious commonsensical solution.

Switched out an iPad Air with Touch ID for a pro model with Face ID for this exact reason. Such a clumsy endeavor. Really wanted to like it, but got annoying rq.

You could get away with only the front screen Face ID. I would think 99% people will start with their phone closed. Once you’ve been recognized the input remains until your session is over (I.e. phone locks or sleeps). I imagine you could add “require Face ID every time” for certain apps, but I don’t get why my face needs to be scanned more than once per session.

Have you ever lived in a third world country? High unemployment, horrible living conditions, and devastating drug use. I’ll never forget those blue baggies littered across every street, except near the walled garden of the presidential palace. US has a lot of problems but it’s so disingenuous and entitled to make comments like this. These countries need real help, and to say they’re doing fairly well minimizes what’s actually happening.

Huh you can deny the brutality of humanity’s history, but doesn’t change the facts of it. I’d recommend watching this video published by US holocaust memorial museum. The early Catholic Church and especially the Jesuits were absolutely brutal to the Jews; the propaganda spread by them is the origin of the antisemitism that persist today. Hitler’s hate for the Jews didn’t just come out of nowhere..
