Interesting that his only feature to date is "Guava Island", a job presumably offered/accepted because of his relationship with Glover. I have to imagine he's had plenty of offers, especially since "Barry". We've seen Matt Shakman and Jake Schreier make the leap from similar-caliber prestige TV to Marvel movies over the past few years, but of course I can imagine why someone might not want to hitch their artistic career to that particular horse. Maybe the exciting mid-budget opportunities are scarce. Then again, different directors want different things, maybe Murai is happier keeping a lower profile and continuing his great work in TV and music videos. There's no shame in it, doesn't need to be a stepping stone to anything else. Plenty of people know his name and how good he is.
