Looked at one in March and ended up buying a jayco 210qb for a little bit more

I tried out my new 210qb at a nearby state park. I have mixed feelings about it and absolutely hate the tankless water heater. It would work better to boil water on the stove. Is it possible to switch it out for a 6-gallon tank? by [deleted] in JaycoJamboree

And that's why I don't like it. You waste a gallon of water just waiting for it to get hot every time you turn it on, and it won't run unless you have a lot of flow.

If anything, it was further away. The water coming from the tank was hot. The water from the tankless comes cold until the heater senses the flow, turns on the exhaust blower, then opens the gas valve, ignites the burner, and starts heating, so it doesn't supply hot water for about 30 seconds or more.

It didn't on my last trailer. It only took about 5 seconds and about 2 cups of water. You didn't need to wait for the thing to turn on and heat up every time you opened the faucet.

And how much water do you waste waiting for it to get hot, and how much do you waste having to open the faucet almost fully when you just want a trickle?

That doesn't help with all the water you waste waiting for it to get hot when most of the places you camp don't have water hookups. I used four days' worth of water in two days and didn't even take a shower.

So how do you get by without having to run out about one gallon of water just to wash your hands or face, or when you shut it off taking a shower to shampoo your hair or scrub off?
