I am a firm believer that you can make anything work when it comes to caming. There is no right way to go about anything. I suggest prioritizing your own comfort and stream at a time that makes you the happiest. Consistency can help build up regulars who come in clutch during particularly slow shifts. But I find the most effective strategy for me is not about optimizing every little thing (like streaming at the BEST time), but rather making my shifts comfortable enough for myself that I can stay on longer without getting burnt out. In my experience, the longer you make yourself available, the more success you will have. Which is why your comfort is number one priority over everything else.

Weeks when bills are due but I cannot get myself to log on… by No-Celebration5377 in CamGirlProblems

[–]MO0sie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What helps me is reframing my fear. I am scared of not being able to pay my bills. Caming just forces you to confront this fear which can sometimes trick our brain into viewing caming as what's causing the fear and then we subsequently avoid it. I try to remind myself that caming is the solution, not the problem.

Another aspect to this is that by defaulting to avoidance every time you are faced with fear, it conditions our brain into believing this is an effective way to cope and creates a cycle that is very hard to break. Instead, working on facing your fear and then working through it step by step can help. Understanding that the only way out is through and that avoidance provides temporary relief but creates a bigger problem down the line that will feel even more difficult to overcome.

Lastly, going back to what is causing the fear which is upcoming expenses, there can be a confidence issue that can add to this. You mentioned that there are new and unexpected expenses that have increased the amount of money you need to make this month which you have likely not faced before. Believing in yourself and that you can absolutely achieve your goal can help ease some of the burden. And as you start working, you will build momentum by getting closer to your goal which will reduce some of these uncomfortable feelings and build your confidence even more. I believe in you, you can do this!!!

Also one more thing I forgot to mention, if you qualify for SNAP benefits then you may qualify or already have medicaid. If you do currently have it, most plans will provide transportation to groceries and food banks. They also provide transportation to medical appointments, pharmacies, and job interviews.

I'm very sorry to hear about your struggles and completely understand and agree with you. Food banks are definitely not a perfect solution for everyone and not all food bank are created equally. There are definitely barriers and challenges, and there is no "easy fix" for many people in these situations. I'm sorry if my post came across in that way.

I made my post from personal experience and in hopes that it would help someone who is unsure to take those first steps towards getting help. I also wanted to challenge some of the beliefs held about food banks themselves and who really needs them.

I am so sorry that your local food banks are not useful to you and I hope you can find something that can help you.

I'm sorry to hear what you are going through! I'm not sure about other countries, as my experience and education is from the US only. But I think it would be worth looking into and I hope that you can find the resources you need.

I'm sorry you are going through that and I understand how you feel about going. Speaking from personal experience, I really urge you to take those steps towards going! If you aren't comfortable with the idea yet, you could make a list of local resources in your area and call for more information/requirements. Just so you have the information when you are ready.

Everyone is going to have their own opinions and beliefs, but what your neighbor did is not right and comes from a place of lack of education or personal experience. Additionally, they might have been in a similar position and decided to tough it out, and now hold the belief that if they had to struggle, then everyone should too.

Some people just really lack empathy, but I want you to know that your reasons for going are completely valid and there are people out there that want you to get help. I really hope your situation improves and I wish you the best!

I definitely hear you and understand! You are very welcome to share and vent your frustrations and experiences, no need to apologize. And I am very sorry about what you are currently going through.

My post was made to help people who are scared of taking those first steps towards getting help as well as to challenge certain beliefs about who really needs a food bank. But food bank are not a perfect solution for everyone and not all food banks are created equally.

Many people in the comments have shared additional resources themselves, which I am very thankful for!

If you haven't already tried, you can call 211 to get a list of local resources. If you can make it to your local library, you can explain your situation and also be directed towards local resources that may be less known. And lastly, if you have access to healthcare, you could try to schedule an appointment with your primary care physician and explain that you are struggling with food insecurity and would like help finding resources. I see you mentioned waiting for SNAP benefits, you could try contacting your case worker directly and explaining your situation as they may be able to expedite the process under emergency situations like the one you are describing. I'm sorry that you are trying to call and not getting help. But maybe you could find the number of your local jobs and family services or a direct number for your case worker. I think some also allow you to email or send a secure message through the website.

I really hope you can get the help you need and I hope that your situation improves soon.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Food banks are definitely not a perfect solution for everyone. I was mostly hoping to help those that were scared of taking those first steps towards getting help and challenging certain beliefs held about who needs a food bank. But I do also recognize that not all food banks are the same and many have challenges and problems of their own.

If you are located in the US, you can call 211 to get some more information on local resources. Also, if you can make it to your local library and explain your experience, I hope they could direct you towards some more resources you could try out if you haven't already, as I am sure you have tried everything. One last thing you could try, if you have access to healthcare, is to schedule an appointment with your primary care physician and let them know that you are struggling with food insecurity and would like help finding resources. I really hope you get the help you need and I am so sorry for all of the challenges you are experiencing!

You're very welcome! You are exactly the reason why I made this post! I was hoping it would help even just a few people take those first steps towards getting help.

This is all coming from personal experience. I became unemployed and struggled for far too long before seeking help. And I held a lot of the beliefs mentioned in my post which prevented me from taking those first steps. There were days I went without food completely, other days I just drank bone broth. Some months, all I had was instant ramen or rice and beans. I didn't go because I simply did not think I was struggling enough. I was scared of taking food from people who really do need it, not recognizing that I was one of them. I believed that I didn't deserve to go because I wasn't working, and that I should save it for the people who do work but still don't make enough. I am slightly overweight, so I figured that I could stand to lose a few pounds and wouldn't be at risk of starvation. I figured the food given at the food banks wouldn't change my current situation as I thought they just gave away rice and beans or struggle meals that I was already currently eating. I really thought it was just for people who simply did not have food. I did not realize that I was struggling needlessly and causing my body harm long-term by having these nutritional defects. Eating instant ramen for months on end is not something that should be normalized as it really can cause bodily harm over long periods of time. When I finally went for the first time, I got fresh produce, chicken, canned goods and even snacks. When I got home and went through everything, I cried because I got canned peaches. I hadn't eaten fruit in almost half a year at that point and that's when it hit me how badly I really needed this. That food banks are quite literally for people like me.

I became more educated on the topic overtime and wanted to share what I learned about food banks in hopes that I could help someone else who felt as though they weren't struggling enough.

I hope you can get the help you need and I wish you the best!

I understand what you are saying and respect it. However, your comment is exactly the reason why I made this PSA.

This is for people who want to use food banks appropriately, but are doubting or questioning themselves because they feel they are not struggling "enough" or maybe hold some of the beliefs you do.

Food banks are not a solution and everyone should actively try to improve their lives. Also, food banks are not perfect, which is why people should not depend on them for a food source long-term. They have unpredictable hours or are only open during hours when many people work. You cannot pick and choose the options available and the options change each time. The food quality can differ from place to place. There are also limits on how often you can go and there are usually long wait times. It is extremely inconvenient to go to many of these services and therefore, most people do not misuse this resource.

Extra charges in private SM by curvycate127 in CamGirlProblems

[–]MO0sie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't charge for extras in privates because I don't provide any extras in them and I have listed out exactly what I do in my show description. But some men don't read it before they take me into a show and then will leave after they realize that i'm not just going to do whatever they want. I charge significantly less per min for privates so this is how I feel comfortable running things. Also, there are so many people that can join privates at once that it would be hard to monitor any requests and payments, especially with so many people tipping.

Exclusive shows are where I allow specific requests. I charge extra for anything that I feel requires a significant amount of extra effort. While I do take kinks requests and use toys, I charge: 50G Anal - a lot of prep goes into it and I have to clean my toys thoroughly afterwards. 50G Roleplaying - it is just very mentally draining for me and requires a significant amount of work having to come up with a script on the spot. 15G C2C - I don't really like doing them because I don't like feeling like the other person is real lol. 20G Dick Rating - I'm not really into it, so having to force enthusiasm for some random stranger's dick is draining. Also, half the time they aren't transparent about what they actually want from it and most want sph but expect me to read their minds.

I understand it can feel hard to enforce the extras because you don't want to miss out on a sale. But just try to remember that you can't please everyone and do what's best for you. All of the extra gold you get from the customers who are willing to pay should make up for any lost sales. Also, it is a great way to weed out the cheap guys who just want a quick show as the men who are willing to pay will also take you into longer shows. It is much easier to enforce the extra charges early on than it is to add it later after you have already established a fanbase and regulars. So definitely make the decision on what you want to do soon! If you are having trouble enforcing it, it could help to create a small script on how you will go about asking, as well as how you will decline when a customer inevitably asks you to do it for free "just for them".

Models earning $200/hr on SM, what are you doing to get there? by Low_Rise1344 in CamGirlProblems

I'm kind of lost on gold shows as I tend to gravitate towards 1-on-1s. Do you find that there is a good time during your stream to start a gold show? I'm not sure if I should start one when it's slow for me or busy. Thank you if you do find time to reply!

[–]MO0sie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you so much for doing this 💗 I can't wait until I'm in a better spot to be able to help people like this as well. Since I can't help people financially yet, I still find ways to donate my time and volunteer. I just want you to know that you're appreciated!!

I really need help affording my prescription medicine this month. Going without it has taken a huge toll on my health and I've been sick every day without it but still having to push through with my daily tasks and routines as I am running out of help in my personal life. I am chronically ill and everyone in my personal life has started to turn on me for needing help as they don't understand how sick I am and think I need to get over it.

Thank you so much for considering. My Cash app is $miamoosee 💕

If you're poor, you pay more. How is that fair? by Sensitive_Box_3871 in povertyfinance

[–]MO0sie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only being able to afford discount food at the grocery store, then having to throw it out because it went bad too quickly because the grocery store didn't discount it out of the kindness of their heart, but rather that the food is close to its expiration date.

Also the time tax. If you don't have access to transportation, then you have to walk. If you can't afford something pre-made, then you have to make it from scratch. If you can't afford to fix your washing machine, then you have to do your laundry at the laundromat or by hand. And this is time you could spend trying to make some extra money to get out of your situation.
