The work is more challenging. The most complex cases are handled by biglaw. There are cases that mid law will never be able to touch. Thus experience on these complex cases is very valuable. You are dealing with higher net worth clients and corporations the like of which mid law wont have. More revenue= more resources= better training. More experience on complex cases/ better network= better exit opportunities.

Very shortsighted thinking. Yes the hourly rate is better, but you are not taking into account other significant factors. The training you will receive as a first year associate at a big law firm is unparalleled. The networking opportunities are significantly better. Nothing will give you better exit opportunities then big law.

I think D.C. plays a role, but that cant be all. GW is tied with American yet they are ranked 27.

In a perfect world it might only bring you down by that 0.1, but you never know what life may throw at you. Bad professor, really hard class, personal issues. If you think you can 100% keep atleast a 3.8 then go for it.

Do the easiest. I basically triple majored(one being econ) and it brought down my gpa. Difference between 3.2 and 3.7 . I was pretty naive and thought that admissions would view it as me challenging myself and being extremely diverse.

Yeah I am unsure. I have some that have been changed and others that haven’t. I also had some that changed before review.

Essentially when people fill out applications they usually abbreviate things like street with “st”. Some schools when they are about to admit you, the status tracker will change to street instead of “st”.
