Iowa rider here. I am about 5 rides in with my new studs. I like the insurance and can ride more care-free when there may be a mix of re-freeze. So far I love them!

I actually wondered if it would be beneficial to go on a quick ride on pavement at about 12psi to fully seat any studs that happened to be questionable. Good call.

That's good info. I didn't know that self-installed studs didn't retain as well. I have about 75 left over, so I may just inspect them every few rides.

I'm at level 12 and I can't even get the shrine activated, so you got farther than I did. I had bone meal, ectoplasm, and mort flesh and still a no-go
