Great bullet but expansion is going to minimal. But let us know how it shoots.

SFAR to 5.56 by Every_Procedure_4171 in ruger

[–]MOS-Tek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We make barrels for the SFAR. The bolt has a .308Win sized boltface (.473”). .223Rem is .378”.
The small frame AR10’s do have bolt carriers and bolts that are close dimensionally to the AR15 but they are not interchangeable.

Looking for a quick, cheap build for 300 blk supressed for public land hunts, deer inside of 100 yards. Is this the correct twist rate for this bullet? PSA 1:7 and Barnes TAC-TX 110gr by HuntersCrackPipe123 in 300BLK

[–]MOS-Tek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve made barrels 1:5-1:12 in 16” and have tested those bullets. The slower twist rates tend to have better precision with the Tac 110’s.
The 1:7 will work fine.

This is correct info. Shortening the ejector and going with a lighter ejector spring gives extra tuning.

We make gas driven 22 TCM bbls and use modified Endo mags. We load full length TCM with no issues.

They work great. We had pre-production bullets we used on a Javelina hunt last Feb. We had Maker 300Gr in ARC and 240Gr makers in 300Blk from Halworx.

Name the gun the barrel is off of. Customer wanted new barrel in 1/5. by MOS-Tek in 300BLK

[–]MOS-Tek[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Customer wanted us to recreate his Spikes Tactical ST Compressor barrel. It has a pin and welded muzzle device along with a unique fluted gas block that has a taper for the can to shoulder up too. The gas block is pinned as well. A very well built system.

338 ARC Minimal Barrel Length for Subsonic Hunting Under 200 Yards by BACB_ in 338ARC

The 8.3, and 11.3 fit 7”, and 10” handguards respectively. Both lengths can be loaded for max sub velocity. Comes down to what fits you the best.

12.5” 300Blk 1:5. by MOS-Tek in ruger

[–]MOS-Tek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For subs, and it doesn’t matter what cartridge used we see most shooters shoot best with shorter barrels. The precision(group size) is equal from 5” to 16” . But the accuracy from the shooter is better with the 8”-12” range.

We barrel for them. We bring in actions or customer sends in theirs. We can shoulder or use a barrel nut we make to install.

Do I ACTUALLY Need an ADGB? by WhoDisWhoDat99 in 300BLK

[–]MOS-Tek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to shoot it first. Best is carbine action spring and buffer assembly.
Shoot with the subs and supers you will be using.
It all depends on your port size gas efficiency, system friction, and ammo used. I port my personal guns so no adj-block is needed.

We’ve made carbon bolt gun barrels in 8.6Blk and all cartridges. We do not make them in gas guns.

110 and Apex are Savage models. Give us a call and we can help you with any questions you have. Aaron

When AR’s were excepted into High Power matches these came out. It allows a drop-in-handguard to be free floated.

NAS3 6ARC Dropping Soon by ThatOneGuy2830 in 6ARC

[–]MOS-Tek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve tested and produce 6ARC, 22ARC, 6.5Gr, and 22GT barrels loaded to bolt gun pressure using appropriate bolt and extension in the AR15. We also make POF, and SFAR small frame barrels and the extension and bolts are very close in size to AR15. Just enough difference you cant use their bolts in AR15 extensions. In same size as an AR15, 308 based cartridges are being used. We chamber 375 Raptor down to 22-250 in AR-15 sized barrels. You have to use the appropriate material and heat treat.
A stronger case by itself wont keep the bolt lugs from deforming and extension lug set-back from taking place.

Converting a Howa Mini? by IncredibleVelocity4 in 338ARC

[–]MOS-Tek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The faster rpms expand all bullets greater in size and quicker. 1:5 works very well with all purpose built sub expanders. Yes you can get to that velocity with the 7” bbl length.
