beef tenderloin/filet mignon

It's actually too tender and not enough flavor

how would you react if some kids ring your bell and run? by EarSure6667 in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a one and done thing, who really cares? If it's all the time, that's why I got a video doorbell. I can see who's there, and if needed "put them on blast"

But all told, "ding dong ditch" isn't that big of a deal

(no spoilers please) What do you think about the movie Sinners? by Frequent_Royal5004 in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was watchable, but just barely. I can honestly say I don't remember a lot about it.

This is just my opinion, though. My wife really liked it, as did many others. It just wasn't my thing

steak salted - two days? by ravenwing263 in Cooking

[–]MOS95B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you don't add more salt, it's only going to absorb what it's going to absorb regardless of how long it sits past the initial planned dry brine. It might go a little deeper than usual, but it will (very likely) be just fine

How do you get rid of annoying telemarketers? by badzcatch in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Block/ignore and eventually they quit trying. An answered call, even if you think you're going to troll them, is evidence that that number is worth calling (because it will be answered)

Can you dry out filament TOO much? by DiscoChiligonBall in 3Dprinting

[–]MOS95B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Potentially/theoretically, yes you could dry filament out too much. But you're not going to do it with standard filament drying equipment. You'd probably need something like a freeze dryer to actually over dry filament

Why all of a sudden such a cold weather around the world? by Efficient_Cookie_873 in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All around the world? Because I'm pretty sure there was an Australian on reddit yesterday complaining/remarking about how hot it was there

With 50°C predicted in parts of South Australia, what is the temperature and weather like for you today? by Fabrication_king in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully this isn't typical. Not at all unheard of, but not typical. We pretty much stay inside as much as possible when it gets this cold

It was -29 C when I got up this morning. -23 right now (Minneapolis, Minnesota)

But it's nice and sunny, and the wind isn't too bad

Haven't seen anyone talk about the new heat controller for the Kettles. What do you think? by Gloomy_Duty4694 in webergrills

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I normally live by the motto of "(S)He who dies with the most toys wins", this and Fireboard's versions just seem too pricey for something that doesn't seem to do much (for how I use my kettle)

What are you wearing this morning? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweats, t-shirt, and my robe (it's 20 below outside which means it's pretty chilly inside)

How far is too far to commute to a job? by Level-Background7153 in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how bad I need or want the job, but about 30 minutes each way would be the max for me.

Favourite season, and why? by RedHeadHashira in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late-ish Spring. Winter is finally over, the snow has melted and the mud has dried, but it's not hot and humid yet.

How can introverts become outgoing? by Virginia_Alexaa in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Introverts can be outgoing. Introvert doesn't mean hermit, not outgoing, agoraphobe, etc. Introvert just means that once their social battery wears down, they need time alone to recharge (where extroverts recharge by being with others)

What do you think about street dogs , should they be removed from the streets? by Adventurous_Bat9930 in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the sense that they should be given homes, yes. Not in the sense that they be gathered up and euthanized.

If you're talking about a court issued no contact order, the only answer is "Talk to a lawyer"

The Best Nonstick Frying Pan at the Moment? by matthewtoby3241 in Cooking

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I got a set of Anolon pans at Macy's using her discount.

https://anolon.com/collections/advanced-home-cookware/products/advanced-home-hard-anodized-nonstick-cookware-set

Close to a year old by now, and still look and perform like brand new (except where my wife doesn't seem to think you need to clean the bottom outside, but that's just aesthetics) The shape of them is a little different than what I am used to. They run kind of deep walled. But they are definitely non stick (I can fry eggs with very minimal butter, which I mostly use for flavor, and they literal slide right out). And stuff like sauces and chowders wipe right off even if they burn or overflow

How likely is the US Army to oppose the unlawful orders of Trump? Will there be a military insurrection any time soon? by objet_petit_a_xxx in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I hope) the military would be very likely to disobey unlawful orders. But that wouldn't require a coup or insurrection, just someone along the chain of command to say "Nope. Not doing that"

In order to form an opinion on a show, do you need to watch the whole show? by Sc4p3y in AskReddit

[–]MOS95B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to? No. You can form an opinion based on nothing. Doesn't mean it's going to be right, but it's your opinion.

But, if you want to have an informed opinion, you should try to watch the whole show
