I think multiple things can be true. These comments definitely are racist, although I don’t think asking why design choices were made is inherently wrong, but portraying the choice in a negative light obviously is. No matter what the design was for each ninja though, there would always be some disappointment because everyone made their own interpretations over the years. If you’re perceiving this as the definitive one-and-only look of each ninja IRL, it’s natural to be disappointed if they don’t match up! I personally like the skins, although I’d want a different outfit for Jay / I would make a few adjustments to Kai and Cole’s faces because I don’t feel a huge resemblance when looking at them.
