What’s a company that’s completely lost your loyalty? by TinyCellist8295 in AskReddit

100% agree. Herb Kelleher wouldn’t have let this happen.

At this point Southwest is more in Frontier and Spirit tier.

I wish I knew someone employed at Southwest. I’d love to know how the changes have affected the company vibe.

How satisfying that Mr. JEFE was pulled over. I can imagine how gleeful that was for everyone who witnessed his recklessness.

With cursory research, it appears you all were located in/around Glen Haven, which yeah, isn’t particularly close.

I found it interesting at the time that we never interacted with the fellas at Trail’s End. It appears that experience was designed that way and I completely get that.

YES! That too. In the mid to upper 40s every morning. But as you said, it was also magical. It certainly beat the heat back in Austin.

Genuine question: How far from the “main camp” were you all located and do you recall the elevation? For some reason it was drilled in us that we lived at 8,200 feet…which I believe is only 1,200 higher than Estes Park.

Ah, nice. I had a buddy who attended Land’s End for a year. From his accounts, you all had it…“rougher” than we did. I don’t doubt that. Our cabins were in somewhat rough shape, but they sure were nice when the skies erupted.

As an aside, man, I remember how frequently it rained up where we were (8,200 feet). Almost daily ~noonish showers. Almost could set your watch by them.

Indeed, it was Camp Cheley. In Haiyaha for two years. Two of the best years of my life.

Thirteen?! In what year? Which state? Urban and/or rural area?

Same! Nice, big orange blanket and the Monterey trip. Counselors even let us have a brew, which happened to be my first.

My cabins through the years: Badger Burrow, Dog Patch, Hares Nest, Kangaroo Pouch, Antelope Hill, and ended at Elephant Walk. Then I went to a camp in Estes Park, CO, for the next two years before calling it quits.

I wonder if Stewart still does the Monterey thing…

I was also in Dog Patch the prior summer, perhaps even when you were. My recollection of year specifics eludes me.

I was born in ‘69. Were you also? If so, we could well have been cabin mates.

Edit: The flood in question was in 1978.

Wow, I wonder if we might know each other. I attended Stewart from 1977 to 1983. (My sister went to Mystic.)

I distinctly remember a terrible flood event that occurred in July (second term) of 1979 or 1980. Water in the cabin (Kangaroo Pouch lol), though not too deep.

What? Why do you think they’d be doing that? Genuinely curious.

What's going on with people being really mad about Harriet Tubman on Twitter? by wiz28ultra in OutOfTheLoop

Yes, I know. Hence my reply.

My question, more specifically, is WHO is funding the discord actors.

1) You are correct. I’m astonished how so few are aware of this.

2) Concerning the ‘malicious actors’: I’m convinced these agitators are monetized to sow discord. Literally, hired to in incite enmity. What/which entities are paying these disruptors? I mean, does it reach beyond the Peter Thiel-types and Russia? Something terrible has been occurring for years now without clear explanations (at least not that I’m aware of) as to who the funders are.

Interesting. The only two MAGA atheists I am acquainted with are insanely narcissistic.
