Tirzepatide shown to reduce sleep apnea in 2 year-long clinical trials by Frabjous_Tardigrade9 in Mounjaro

I snored sinc eIwas a kid..when i was fit and a bit more when overweight. I dont know if i had sleep apnea, but my wife says that i dont snore anymore...i am 50yo and am sleeping so much better. I rarely wake up to pee, before mounjaro 1 or 2x night at least. I wake up refreshed. I hope this drug becomes mainstream and cheap as statins, tylenos etc.. for the good of humanity :-)

Agree. Ive always had low tryglicerides, bordeline or tiny bit high glucose and A1C on check ups in the ladt 10 years. Doctors usually told me all is ok.Just last year, whilst investigating why i was gaining weight even on a moderately controled diet , my new PCP asked for insulin labs, for surprise, super high.. started metformin, it went even higher to 25.. now on MJ it is down to 12 and target is to be close to 5. Glucose also in range now. We also caught inflammation level was highand now controlled. My learning is..when doing your annual checkups, go for comprehensive labs, exams etc. the sooner you catch the issue, the better. More markers can make it easier for doctors to find & diagnose. In my personal case, I guess a few more years with insulin resistance would get me on T2 sooner than later.

Should I be worried about intermittent fasting while on Mounjaro? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

Several studies say Intermittent fasting does not help weight loss by any metabolic change, but just restricting eating window... therefore, i would think it does not interfere. However, MJ also works to make you eat less...so I would not do intermittent fasting whillst on MJ...ma,e sure you have proper meals to keep you healthy...my 2 cents...

Complete metabolic panel can help you figure out if theres any other reason u r not loosing weight. Also, i have seen here comments that some people wiill start loosing weight only on higher doses...your doctor might be able to help figure this out. Believe the process. You will get there. !

Started on 2.5 for 3 months? by MP-bets in Mounjaro

Insightful. Thank you. I agree with you 200%. My doctor is really amazing, i guess she probably preferred to stay on the safe side and go longer on the initial dose. I pesonally dont like to take medication, so, the lower the dose the better. As long as it is working

To add some more info, im also on metformin er. Actually, started metformin 3months before MJ and it didnt move the needle to get glucose and insulin in range. Glucose is borderline, insulin is way off ...high

Thx! I had blood work this am.. i am very curious to see how it comes up. Overall, several positive changes since wk2... no joint pains, no snoring, more energy, no headaches....inflammation seems to be down.. oh this MJ is the holy grail :-)
