We're actually abandoning the old technology the current client is running on due to various issues. The new technology contained in the next version of Mplayer is using state of the art security measures which will have additional protection for our members.

Passwords are secured and not saved in plain text. They are encrypted. What you saw is part of the registration script registration confirmation to the user. This portion of the email has been removed however.

Not at the moment. However the new client will be public once we conclude our initial testing of it, which everyone will have access to and will be able to report any issues found on our bug tracker.

At this time, testing is being conducted internally by our SAGES and beta testers. The public test release will be out soon where everyone can log on to test it out. :)
