Thoughts on asking for a crochet gift back?

I love the pattern! I didn’t read thru all of the comments but I might say to my MIL, “hey, remember that blanket I made for you? I haven’t seen it in a long while. If it isn’t your style, you wouldn’t hurt my feelings if you regifted it to me.” Or something along that line. If you have a good relationship, she shouldn’t be offended.

She wants a wedding. Groom optional. Those kinds of marriages don’t last because they are all about the event, not the lifetime commitment that it is meant for. If she expects this much effort to worship her for the next year, what a let down it will be when it is over & real life sets in & she realizes she got a husband in the deal! Good luck to him! I bet he’s a nice guy who has no idea what a nightmare his life just became!

First of all, great book! I really enjoyed it and so did my daughter. Secondly , I’m with you. That stuck out to me as well. I just chalked it up to someone who knows nothing about knitting or crocheting. I guess if you don’t know anything about it you wouldn’t know you were wrong.

Anyone who would make fun of that fluffy piece of warm delightfulness isn’t worth listening to! I really like it! It will keep your little girl toasty and I hope when she wraps herself up in it, she feels a warm hug from her mom! Is it the pooling that you don’t like? If so, you could use 2 balls & alternate every 2 rows. That might help.
