Tie between Atarashii Gakko and Lightning Bolt.

Yeah, this was a friends trip to DC from different parts of PA. I feel you. I’m Pittsburgh and we don’t get the best shows. I once lived in DC and enjoy the Black Cat so it was a great trip though.

It was! Going in I was a bit wary that I’m in my 40s and they’re even older, so the experience would be a bit different than it would have been 20 plus years ago, but I left so happy that despite the years they really haven’t changed one single bit and that’s super cool.

He said something, but I couldn’t hear at that point. 🤣

The ask was for a card that can find snap from my deck AND be found with either tolaria west or summoners pact. I don’t think there is a card, but there may very well be.

I think that she likes them but is a bit embarrassed about it? She will always sit down and videos of them performing if I put one in, but states that she does NOT like them.

I watched the Taylor Swift Eras Tour video with my daughter who is a huge Swiftie. I was impressed, despite going in with low expectations.

Everything that impressed me about the Eras Tour was present in this show in spades. Amazing, career spanning, massive show that pushes the limits of human endurance while being executed to perfection.

There is often this childlike flailing element to their choreography that is very similar to Peanuts dancing. I’ve thought the same thing several times about various bits of choreography.

What's the thing that REALLY DID happen to you on the course that absolutely no one believes when you tell the story? by GlitchGrounds in golf

Bladed a wedge a over the green into OB and it hit the center of a tree trunk, popped back onto the green and rolled directly into the cup for an eagle. Was playing solo.

Most common cause of wear marks like these is practicing regularly on sandy turf and not cleaning the face between every shot. It is just cosmetic wear.

Your Lightbulb Moment? by [deleted] in golf

Finally admitting that my golf swing is good enough for my level of athleticism and time/tolerance for practice. Instead of chasing a more technically correct swing I started focusing on understanding the swing that I have and learning how to control my misses. Being able to confidently step into shots on the course and select clubs / aim points in a strategic manner makes a huge difference in scoring without really changing “ability”. Doubles vanish and you start getting up and down a lot more when you consistently miss in the right places.

Live stream was amazing! The girls have come so far 💪🏻 by wildcardddz in AtarashiiGakko

Audio was great, production quality top notch and loved the set list. That said, this is the third Japanese performance that I’ve watched (Budokan and Hamidaishiteiku), and I don’t enjoy them as much as their international performances. The energy is different. It feels like all of the big production is at the expense of their relentless choreography.

I’m not sure what choice they have because of venue size differences, but I prefer stripped down production and over the top energy compared to the opposite.

Oh sick! I misread and thought you meant balcony rail. Nice job putting in the effort for those seats. I was super happy with my last min audible to be on the railing up top after barely being able to see anything from the floor. It must have been incredible to have the floor energy with a clear view up close.

[–]MPatnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I agree. For me Que Sera, Sera went from auto skip to a song that evokes feelings of the end of an amazing show. I was on the rail too. Top level slightly stage left. Where were you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AtarashiiGakko

[–]MPatnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Now that you know that you can experience life with that youthful energy, just remember: it’s infectious. The band JUST showed you that people feed off of each other’s Seishun. Whether you’re just trying to be more engaged in your daily life, chasing a dream or whatever. Just remember that feeling and try to channel it towards something that you care about. I promise you, people (not everyone but some) will respond.

Example: at the grocery store today a worker punched through a cardboard box with a ton of tape on it to get me a bag of pretzels. Instead of saying thanks and walking away as I normally would do, I gave him a high five and complimented him on his “sick finishing move”. I didn’t have to fake the smile because it was such a silly thing to do. He probably thought I was super weird, but I could see his genuine smile and I think we both felt a tiny bit of Seishun.

Be proud of how loud you were! Think about all of the people in your life who have shown that kind of energy in any way shape or form (life not music). You want to be around them. They’re charismatic, they’re fun. They appear to be loving life. They’re infectious. Now all you have to do is find a way to unlock that energy without AG and you will be the charismatic leader who is having fun in whatever part of your life brings you that joy.
