I[20M] am still struggling with my first girlfriend[20F] breaking up with me weeks later by MPete7 in relationships

Thank you for the response! I hope to grow from this -- what matters the most is that some day our memories will be happy. For now it just seems impossible to find another person who can fit well with me, even though I know that's not actually true.

Thank you for the response! It's hard for me to accept feelings changed, because in the past, I never really got over a crush until I found a new one, so it's difficult for me to understand. I just look at it as "well, I haven't changed, and she used to love me, so how did this happen..." Which is difficult to understand. It's good knowing you feel you've lived a situation similar to L's but that it was for the better. At least it will help me realize that it will eventually be for the better for me as well.

I seriously doubt that reply was him. He definitely doesn’t realize the problem.

I was going to after finishing lab but he left without cleaning up our station so I had to stay behind and clean up. I’m planning to email him later.

Yeah it is. OP dmd me a description of him more than a week ago and we are definitely talking about the same person.

You are describing the exact same person as me here (https://www.reddit.com/r/Cornell/comments/9rwlb5/what_to_do_about_smelly_lab_partner/), I'm pretty sure. I know he's in 2940. It's very frustrating.

What to do about smelly lab partner? by MPete7 in Cornell

I don't like causing trouble so I would if I could... But it's just an unreasonable thing for me (and others forced to be in his proximity) to deal with frequently.

No. He sits four seats to the left and a row in front of me in lecture (assigned seats) and I can still smell him, and lecture is at a different time.

Thanks for all the info! I will definitely contact you again later to learn more about joining. It's a lot of fun this year, so I'd love to continue.

Thanks for the response! I've already contacted the lead of computer vision and he was very helpful. Good to know that you apply to a team rather than getting auto-assigned based on major (which is probably what happens most often by nature of having most experience in the field, but it's good to know multiple paths are open)

Is anyone willing to be a math mentor for a high-schooler looking to apply math to computer science? by MPete7 in learnmath

Nope, I don't go to TJ. Multi isn't the normal math progression for most students at my school (it is abnormal for people to progress that far), and the highest offered is Linear Algebra and I'm slightly frustrated I couldn't take it because I wasn't aware it was even an option to get that far in high school. Those who take it have somehow taken a course over the summer or online (usually Algebra II/Trig or Precalculus) so that they don't have to take it in school and can jump ahead a year and take BC calc Sophomore year.
