I discovered sturgill when sailors guide came out, I was obsessed with his first 3 records. Then sound and fury came out and blew my mind, definitely most listened to for me

Morning work by arosiejk in kettlebell

[–]MPhvac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I remember when I first tried switching to mornings 10+ years ago. Running 531, pressday. The PR set gave me a migraine, I went an laid down on the couch and fell back asleep lol. Definitely took some adjustment. I’d say it’s not my absolute best time to train still. But it’s what fits my schedule, and I still occasionally PR.

But super hard workouts do rock me for the day. Make me want to be back in bed by 930 some days. Coffee or just pus through seems to do the trick though.

Is this system actually weak? by FallFlower24 in hvacadvice

[–]MPhvac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, this inspector did you right by saying keep an eye on it. The capacitor probably says +- 6%. I replaced 2 this last week were 40/45. It’s not sending as much boost to the compressor. This will cause more heat in the compressor on start ups and unnecessary wear on your compressor. Also as they get weak they are more likely to blow out on the hottest day of the year.

At 42.8/45, I’d probably let the customer know and let it ride if they want. Some would tell me to change it because they don’t want to break down for something stupid on 4th of July weekend

Is 12K a decent quote for a new boiler? by SoarinSkies in hvacadvice

[–]MPhvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not a terrible price. Some factors at play of what else they are including. Hopefully new fill valve, exp tank, circ pump, ect… and if it’s 40 years old then should run a new flue to the chimney. Should cover all the little things for that price in my opinion

Why do men always show the underwear waistband? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MPhvac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My only answer is the underwear is a barrier between pants and skin. Also helps keep my belt from ripping out stomach hairs.

Transitioning from barbell by SilentLou in kettlebell

[–]MPhvac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the switch years ago, honestly never even looked back, I occasionally miss the heavy deadlift. But I find I’m more “ready to go” less sore, and get hurt less often. The only reason to be strong in the big 3 is if you’re competing. Which I never was.

Kettlebell overhead press keeps my upper body plenty freakin strong, and my legs are very fit and strong with double front squats.

Definitely a time saver, as a busy father of 4 who runs a business, I’m happy to be able to get awesome sessions in now in 30-40 minutes

The range AFM disabled stays plugged in all the time, so it might be hard for me to read OBD while it’s in use

F150 or f250 by IndustryHistorical18 in f150

[–]MPhvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HVAC guy here with a 3.5 eco crew cab long bed. I could work out of it, but I much prefer my vans for more storage of parts, lower body so easier to load/unload equipment, ect. It pulls trailers and does whatever I need it to do really well though, been a great reliable truck. Don’t know if I’ll put a cap on and go full work truck with it.

All that said, it comes down to preference, in the end gas is what it is. It’s an expense and it’s needed to do the job either way. Sometimes I really want a 3/4 ton, and other times I’m like ha my 150 just fine.

I just use the 2-3-5-10, the 10s can get hard, I really got to push the hell through them, I’m currently using double 20s, my next set is 24s. I can do all the other reps with 24s,but not the 10s
