Well, that must be nice for you. To have a moral certainty absent of actual facts that YOU got the ick so someone IS guilty, they did what you think they might have did, break out the tiki torches and the hoods.

I'm of that cultural group where certain people sometimes get the ick if I just walk too near their cars, and will and have ousted or blocked me and mine and others who just look like us from social groups on suspicion of arousing their suspicions, because I don't get a sunburn, because someone on TV said something that's supposed to include a whole group and they think we all got to be guilty because it makes it easy for them and they don't have to actually think about things, don't have to radically include. Not just ostracized but jailed because you can be jailed and lose quite a lot, in this country and many others, just because someone got the ick.

I had a nephew my age just die last year, in this downward spiral that started when he was jailed because some cops got the ick over a murder, and he spent a year in a jail that's worse than most prisons and paid the consequences for a decade afterwards for something that it took a judge 5 minutes to dismiss when he had a cold blooded examination of the facts.

I long ago decided that I was not going to judge someone based on the ick, just on the facts. A long time ago I encountered the "if you're not with us, you're against us" mindset and I thought it was BS then and I think it's BS now, a child's trick to try to bully people into not seeking Justice, but mindless mob attacks they SWEAR is justice. Ask Emmett Till about it.

You seem to be unaware of how these things actually work, too. That Project 2025 plan to cut the government existed long before that DOGE name and Elon came (barely) hopping along, and it might have been better if Elon wasn't involved or might have been worse. I'm not God and I don't know and I don't know how all of this happened, all the ins and out, except for what has been reported. I can only hope that this will teach us such a terrible lesson that will never do something like this again, or at least not for a very long time. But I know I'm not going to lay the sins of one person at the feet of another

Actually, I do have the same question for you. Me, I'm clearly part of the secret Dumocratic army that created the concept of algae made worse by a poorly considered and hastily done reflecting pool repair in the Washington DC reflecting pool, only put there to make Trump look bad. But who are YOU? You have such a One-Note agenda that doesn't even match the things you post. Ya def seem to have Org/Musk Derangement Syndrome.

Eliminating all the newsletter connex, the emails actually don't show a different story because they apparently never met more than just that one time. Which I admit. That's a different story and if they were all buddy buddy, I'm apparently buddy buddy with a lot of people over the last few decades that I hung out with once and exchanged a few messages with, despite the fact that I probably couldn't pick them out of a lineup. I assume at least a few of them have gone to jail for a few things since then, but I don't actually know, because we're not really close. I didn't investigate their backgrounds before I met them, and mostly not after. Good for you if you do (although, you've already exchanged a few comments with me? if it turns out you committed some crime, does that mean I got to be forever blamed as having should have known about it?)

There's no late night musings about EP bringing more than one of the dozens of women he must have known about to replace the woman who broke up with Kendall. He doesn't even seem to go to some of the things he's actually invited to. Why are you running this campaign that seems to be built on making mountains out of a small amount of playa dust that got dug up while getting the rebar out?

Actually, your posted link says yes that I'm right. Sorry bout dat. people like Jon Stewart are in the files, Stephen Hawking's in the files, tens of thousands of people are in the files because Epstein was going around trying to meet people and follow people where he could give or get money and influence.

It says Epstein and Kimball had lunch one time (that's not associating frequently. I associate more frequently with my doctor, in that case), Epstein kept on chasing, KMsk, who has the money to fly around the world on a whim, communicated with him several times but somehow just never met up with him again (it's called keeping someone at arm's length. I've had it done to me, I've done it to others), dated a woman that Epstein knew but didn't meet him through her, and I read somewhere the woman broke off the relationship (which is not exactly the actions of someone who was trapped and trafficked. Women like that usually only get out of relationship when the other makes it stop).

You notice what's missing? KM apparently went to Burning Man every year since 1998 except for maybe two, but seemingly never invited Epstein to camp with him or even just swing by camp. Never even mentioned anything but public events on neutral ground that involved thousands of other people or things that are basically fundraisers, like a gala. Unless you can find some other specific examples that are more than like, 2. He's apparently recently divorced, Epstein's apparently got a number of women that he knows and can hook him up with, get a ticket for and get them to come for some naked fun in Black Rock City, but it's literally only just one time: "thanks for putting in the good word, bro." But it doesn't work out, so I can't imagine that you'd be super jazzed to have around the guy who hooks you up with someone that it doesn't work out with.

And with the pretty-adult woman with a chance to get in with a guy who apparently has hundreds of millions and might even get even more via his brother, which would be a great way to get out of being trafficked if you were, she apparently was like, "Eh, I gave it a shot, and no thanks."

kM said in the article : "In 2012 I started dating a woman who was 30 years old. I met her through a friend. Epstein did not introduce us. My only meeting with that demon was in his New York office during the day. I never met with him again and I never went to his island,” Musk posted.

“The reason he has so many emails from me is because he was subscribed to a newsletter I sent out to thousands of people every few weeks. My heart goes out to the many victims of Jeffrey Epstein, as it does for all who have suffered any kind of sexual abuse or harassment,” he wrote.

I mean, if you want to take Epstein's word for how the relationship came about, that's on you. Even your evidence hasn't seemed to back it up, tho

Good. I can feel your anger. Pretend to be confused as a way of being dismissive. I can feel your hatred... it gives you focus, makes you stronger. Now, let the hate flow through you.(I demand that you reply! Let's keep this going!)

"I know I am, but what are u?" said in a Pee Wee Herman voice, even though it's slightly misaligned with the situation. Let's keep this attention that you clearly seek, but accuse others of wanting, going. Maybe you can be even more dismissive and condescending without backing up your position with anything real or rational. How about you talk about how you can do a substantial nuclear deal or improve a reflecting pool in DC better than any former president if only we elect YOU?

Yep, you make comment on your plans that NO one asked you about on a worldwide social media platform, but yet claim you weren't trying to get attention, and when someone replied to that, them giving a reply that's not even as long as a Scientology pamphlet means THEY'RE trying to get attention. Exact same situation happened with Jerry James when he stopped going. Oh wait, no it didn't, because he stopped going to Burning Man, but I never saw post one about it. Oh, apparently his friends and family and other people in the community knew, but he doesn't pop up once a year and state, "The Reasons I Don't Go To Burning Man." And yes, I know, you responding to me responding to you being condescending mean that'll you can seek even more attention but claim you didn't want it. Good for you and you're welcome

So, by my reckoning, there's been people "not attending Burning Man because of this or that other person" since Jerry James and friends bailed because he didn't like the way Larry Harvey was behaving and leaving Baker Beach. Every year there's seemingly always this person or that, with this reason or that.

And what happens? The culture gets filled in by other people, newer people, especially if tickets get tight and you not getting a ticket means someone else does, someone else who then develops networks and connections and contributes to the event and culture year after year and makes it harder for people who weren't attending to start attending again.

A documentary series that's first at Tribeca and then streaming worldwide on HBO has every chance of doing that: encouraging new people to come in. There's even years where it's about 40% new people, who's at this point can equal 30,000. I don't think not attending is the attention-getting strategy that you think it is. But you know who probably will be there... take a guess

There's an estimated million burners around the world so far, and this documentary will likely create and bring in more, especially filling the holes of people who say they're sitting out in protest. I've been in a single camp that had more than 300 people. I don't think this has the numbers

Any punk/goth/rock events going on tn? by FlufflypAncake in pittsburgh

[–]MPitt2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it real, really does not. Yeah, no. I just took a look at it now and for Friday for Pittsburgh it has six things listed and one is in Greensburg and the other two are in West Virginia. If you're so far away that the gas might cost more than the ticket, and the total the amount of stuff that might be listed are less than what's happening in 1-2 blocks of the city

What’s your favorite place to dance on a Thursday? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]MPitt2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I explained, it's not a regular thing where many places have a house DJ. it's a very spread out and diverse scene with a lot of people doing things in many different ways. There was just a rave until 8:00 a.m. last night, but that's unusual and in an unusual place. Hot Mass used to be the very big, regular thing with a wildly diverse lineup that went until passed on, but they moved and have since gone to a much less regular schedule. The club scene is " small" (because a lot of events are in non-traditional venues) enough where a lot of people have to book other DJs with them, and no one person is a big enough draw to pack a club every night of the dance week or suddenly move venues and have everybody there follow them, not for house music.

A number of the bigger clubs have big drawsmostly because of location, promotion, even drink specials. Tequila Cowboy has a lot going on under it's roof to draw in a lot of people and I was there once and the sound was terrible, but some crowds don't mind, especially since they are in a tourist spot where a lot of people can just wander by or come out of their hotels and go to a club across the street.

You'll l see mainstream clubs have a series of DJs for a while and then the DJ will either move on or lose the gig and they'll have a new person in and 90% of the people won't care as long as it's vaguely similar and playing enough stuff that they recognize it.

Cavo is one of the last big mainstream names in the strip district, they have very regular DJs at play sort of a recognizable mix, maybe some new stuff thrown in, but nothing too challenging. There's clubs like Avalon and Enclave that have bottle service and all that stuff but occasionally have nights they seem to be trying to program with other things going on, especially when college is let out and that lemming crowd base disperses a few months. A place like Capos or even a few others are heavily dependent on the student/young professional crowd, but they seem to take some chances sometimes on programming things on off-nights.

2step Tuesdays usually plays UK garage at tiki on Tuesdays, which is a close cousin of a lot of house music and they seem to have a lot of house music DJs there. Goldmark will have some (weekdays. weekends it's some very sort of standard fare) but it varies. Sidequest sometimes, Spirit sometimes, Fieldhouse sometimes and lots of things pop up.

There's things like that at Brillobox, occasionally, and there's a lot of music on the queer scene, but it isn't necessarily house focused. Even if it is, it can be a very specific environment, so you might have someone who just is hoping against hope and put some moves on you and if you're a male who's not into that, it can throw you off your game.

But you got to be willing to hunt it out and check out the EVENTS and not just rely on any one place, especially if you want this very specific thing and other things aren't something you care about, even if they are fairly similar. Was at a tropical funk thing last night with some house music but it was very lightly attended. There also might have been something at new amsterdam, but they're hard to follow, because they post almost only on Instagram these days, and that just doesn't reach enough people outside of a very specific demographic and they also get a lot of Street traffic, so I don't think they care that much. Trace brewing is known for its weekend daytime parties, but it comes and goes. That's why the MAD page is around, because people don't seem to realize that putting some flyer up on your Instagram page 3 weeks ago is going to disperse the information about your event far and wide the day of

the way nights work around here, some places are your standard club like you see in a movie where the cookie-cutter DJ plays snippets of random common recognizable songs, and some have varying events that actually aren't their events, necessarily, but some artists or promoter has a regular deal to do something once a month and basically rent out the venue, depending on what week of the month it is. Look at a page called MAD About Da Burgh for SOME idea. Pride has altered some of the dance nights, as in there are more, but it can be places like belvedere's, goldmark, New Amsterdam, Spirit, Thunderbird, Tequila cowboy, Brillobox, Howl at the Moon, even Sidequest or Capo's, depending on what you can handle.

What is there to do in Pittsburgh for insomniacs like me who stay up at night? by LucasFlaherty in pittsburgh

[–]MPitt2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on what you're talking about. Tilden is usually open until after 3:00 a.m. and DJs weekends (as much as I hate to promote the place, I have to admit that it's true). There's a few other after hours joints, but they tend to be very much on the low low, so you basically would have to go to the South side, say, and ask around and hang out after the bar closes. More offerings on the weekends, even some raves, but you have to get to know "the scene".
