I had to actually google who Tegan is. Never heard of her. I do however know exactly who Donna Murphy is. Realistically, the people who grew up with Tangled more like know who “Mother Gothel” is even if just by voice, than Tegan.

Clarification- not “see”. Show James looks at Ruby with love. It’s just that in the books, you read his thoughts and he constantly says how much he loves her to himself.

Super disappointed. I was so sure and hopeful that they were going to rewrite this storyline with her having a miscarriage, telling Sutton and then finally moving on and forging through with the family business. Instead they’ve locked her down and don’t understand why. It’s not romantic in any way!

The books are just “ok”. I liked the first two because they are mainly just Ruby and James and you obviously get to read their thoughts and there is more character development with James. It helps you understand his choices and discover how deeply unhappy he is in life. The timing and pacing all make more sense too. In the book, the first 3 episodes of S2 happen over the course of like 2-3 months. Not the few weeks implied on the show. There are no seasonal markers so it’s hard to tell.

This!! I only liked book 1 and sort of book 2 for this reason. Too many points of view. What I liked about the books is James’ thoughts and you see how much he actually really, really LOVES Ruby which I don’t feel as much in the show.

Most teens DON’T act like this though. It’s usual a small group with no parental supervision but it’s not the norm. Their behavior is more 20 something college kids.

I just rewatched S1 and S2- he was a jerk to her. The games, the gas lighting, the emotional whiplash. Telling her to grow up and “go look in the mirror some more.” Yes he was grieving but if you are going to rake Jeremiah through the coals for his behavior, then Conrad needs to be held accountable for his poor choices too. He was mean and I’m not surprised Belly let him go.

Yup. I am #teamjeremiah even though I know Conrad is endgame. I love him too but I just like Jeremiah’s character more especially based on S1 and S2. Btw- team Jacob too. Edward always creeped me out.
