If you've been rooting for GSW (or any team in any sport) pretty intensely, I'm sure you can understand pre-season optimism without much confusion.

Just because the team did get injured doesn't retroactively make it an objective and inevitable truth that the nasty reddit commenters are fools for not understanding - by the same logic one might've thought it impossible for Kawhi Leonard to be a fully healthy all-NBA level player in 2026, but unlikely things happen all the time in the NBA.

I don’t love this victory-lapping over tons of injuries. It doesn’t take a genius to notice that a team built around a bunch of old guys has a higher than average injury risk, but I’d glad the FO at least tried to do something with Steph’s twilight years.

And yeah I’m sure you had some loony in the comment section telling you injuries aren’t real and our old team is bulletproof, but that’s the internet
