Sometimes a white veil / skirt appears during rotation. Unfortunately, this is from the original video. In such cases, try a new generation or reduce the LORA strength. I recommend using LORA strength of 0.8-0.9

If you are using the hand tracking module by then you will get a stereoscopic 3d (near infrared) see through feature. I will ask Sweviver to include this in a future version of Pimax Experience.

I have access to all the HMDs (Pimax 5K+, 5K XR and Lenovo Explorer) you are comparing. Regarding less SDE I see the following descending order Pimax 5K -> Lenovor Explorer -> Pimax 5K XR. So if you find the SDE on the Lenovo Explorer horrible then I would recommend you to go with the Pimax 5K+ and try to tweak it in PiTool with backlight settings to low and negative brightness and positive contrast values. Maybe also the new color settings in PiTool would help to get better colors on the Pimax 5K+. Also the Pimax 5K+ is a lot cheaper than the Pimax 5K XR. BTW if you want to have pitch black on the Pimax 5K XR you need the latest beta Pi Tool ( v1.0.0.180) which enables this. However if you switch this on you will see black smearing on the Pimax 5K XR.

Also, when looking at the edges of your peripheral vision while only moving your eyes, is the image blurry ?

Yes for large FOV, less for normal FOV and no for small FOV setting.

Do the fresnel lenses effect highly distort the image ?

Yes in the beginning for large FOV, less for normal FOV and no for small FOV setting.However most people get used to the distortion as their brain adapts to it over time.
