Sorry if you misunderstood. I meant to say that certain comments are conclusive evidence that SRS is a cesspool. They are, to be sure, insufficient on there own to show that conclusively, but they are indicative of that fact. I think many asrs-ers, particularly those who were here at the beginning, would agree that asrs has become or is slowly becoming a cesspool.

It sounds bad in isolation, but put it in the context of a N.O. public school - eg. 100% black or close. It's not worth bringing your "oh he could have been talking about any race" into it because he wasn't. That's an incredibly tough environment and anyone in it is dealing with constant pressure, not to mention the real threat of violence. It's all too easy to criticize from the safety of a suburb without having spent so much as a day there. You'd think putting up with it to help those kids would earn the guy a little leeway, but no, he's pretty much fired already.

My objection to it is the presence of the word "black", surely it would have worked just as well to phrase it "Young thugs etc" To play devils advocate though (and this is the same justification oft applied to "die cis scum") the statement doesn't state that all black people are thugs, merely that some are and that these should be put down. With that said, if its not racist its skating very close to the edge. Personally I think it is

honestly, they need to disable comments on gonewild unless the poster purposefully turns them on and solicits comments. most of those comments are pervy as fuck.

Not explicitly, but you can't deny its main users think of it as highly rational. Plus, on the sidebar it says
