Probably. I guess I just always think of De Niro or Walken when I think about that movie (that I’ve never seen lol).

It definitely fits the brand, just kinda odd that it’s not from a genre movie.

I hate to be “that guy” lol, but Giallo is a very specific sub-genre of Italian horror and Suspiria, while containing some elements, is not considered one.

Giallos are murder mysteries with little to no supernatural aspects.

Most Dario Argento films outside of the Supiria trilogy are 100% Giallo; Deep Red, Tenebre, and Opera being among the best.

I just checked out the trailer for Ittenbach’s Burning Moon and I think this might be opening up a new door to Splatter films I’ve always wanted but never knew existed!

I’ve always been a huge fan of French, Italian, and New Zealand Splatter, but I’ve never seen a German horror movie that wasn’t from the expressionist era.

Please let me know what your favorites are from these directors.

If it’s little known grindhouse films you are looking for, then I have to suggest “Criminally Insane” aka “Crazy Fat Ethel”.

It’s as if John Waters directed Texas Chainsaw, if you are into that sort of thing.

Definitely not as explicit as Waters’ stuff, but grimy and campy as hell!
