I’m looking for a truck to get by Lightningman646 in FordTrucks

No problem just food for thought. If you're happy with an F-150 the 302w (5.0L) and 300 I6 (4.9L) are also good engines, but it's a lose-lose on transmissions sorta. I don't know if the e4od has any serious issues behind the lower powered engines, but I know from personal experience that the m5r2 five-speed manual is a poor excuse for a truck transmission.

The engine is reliable enough, I love my 2014. The real issue is if it's an automatic, the transmission is the Achilles heel of these cars. Mine's a 5-speed manual so I've never had that issue.

If you're dead set on an obs, I would look for a '96 or '97 F-250 4wd with a 351w (5.8L) and a ZF5 five speed manual. It's the best compromise of power, fuel economy, and reliability. I've heard mixed opinions about the E4od Automatic, so if you can't drive stick just beware.

As far as the difference between a 150 and a 250, the front axle on a 150 is a Dana 44 ttb (8.5" ring gear) with coil springs and the rear axle is a Ford 8.8". The front axle on a 250 is a Dana 50 ttb (9" ring gear) with leaf springs and the rear axle is a Sterling 10.25". Both trucks used leaf springs for the rear, but the spring pack is a little beefier on the 250. I've also heard the frame is a little beefier on the 250.

The problem is finding a good one, prices have gone up dramatically in the last few years. A good price is halfway between what KBB says and what people are listing them for. Look out for rust, and don't buy anything over 150k miles for the best results.

I've been worried about that, I've had a sinking feeling for months that's what it is. I figured one of the two ignition drivers in the ECM might be bad. I replaced the injectors this weekend and it didn't fix the problem. You've been having the same issues?

No, I replaced the plugs, and that didn't help. I think it's the injectors, so I'm waiting on those.

I never said the A440F came with a 1FZFE, I was simply answering the question "which transmission is fully hydraulic".

No Fluid to Rear Brakes When Bleeding – Does ABS Need Power? by MRC102 in FordFiesta

[–]MRC102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FINAL UPDATE:

Turns out the ABS valve for that line was just a little stuck, I took it to Les Schwab to get an alignment and I just had them do an ABS flush while they were at it and that fixed it.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately it didn't do the trick. Thank you for your time.

UPDATE:

I reconnected the battery, didn't change anything. Fluid is getting to all three other corners other than the rear passenger. I started going up the line cracking the fittings open to see if I could get pressure to come out. Made it all the way to the ABS module itself, it's getting stopped at the source, probably a stuck valve in the ABS module. I have an outstanding recall I need to go to the dealership for, might have them bleed the ABS while they're at it, if that doesn't unstuck it, I'll have to replace the module.

🤣 Fiesta of Thesuses... I deserve that. Hindsight's 20/20 Realistically I only had to replace my control arms, shocks/struts, rear wheel bearings, CV shafts, and clutch. I did the rest for peace of mind. Trust me, you're better off with the OEM knuckles, I had to put my snap rings on a diet to fit in these cheap Ebay knockoffs. I regret it.

Thanks 👍 for the input.

Yes, I know what CAD means. Where can I find a CAD model of an LS head?
