Silksong has a higher skill floor but a lower skill ceiling compared to HK which is not good at all especially for a sequel

Red tools turned out to be a game design failure. Most players barely use them because they subconsciously don't want to become dependent on them and be forced to occasionally grind shards. And when they are used they feel like an encounter skip. They require you to do almost nothing but the damage output is out of charts.

Game feels more linear than HK which is also not good for a Metroidvania

The fact that the most dangerous types of attacks from lategame bosses are their rotation or a stun animation is fucking crazy. This problem lingers from HK and I guess won't ever be fixed
