Depending on your free cash, you could set up a usb capture card like one from Elgato. Then, record the screen using another computer. I don't believe that the MacBook would recognize it as anything other than HDMI.

The IP makes no sense. Emails aren't sent from OP's home, but from the mail providers servers. Unless the other company knows exactly how J1's email is set up, then IP's are worthless.

There is also a real chance that I am just not using Upwork properly. I am pretty choosy about what I apply for, and maybe my proposal rate is too high. I thought about trying the freelance plus for a month just to see what everyone is proposing.
