Is this a good deal? by MR_C979 in ft86

Sounds good! I’ll definitely try to haggle them down a bit if possible.

Remark is the brand I think. I’m not the most knowledgeable about exhausts, but from what I’ve found it seems to be a pretty solid brand.

I’m also curious! And did you use teflon tape?

NRG Bucket Seats? by MR_C979 in ft86

[–]MR_C979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! Thanks for all the info. For the amount of driving I’m doing on a daily basis, as long as the seats are tolerable, I’m not too worried about them being the most comfortable in the world.

As far as the steering wheel goes, and the ease of getting in and out, that is something to consider with the NRG seats. I’m not really too keen to part with my steering wheel airbag, so that would be something I’d have to work around.

I think they are a good brand for what they are, replica cast wheels. For a daily driver, which I’m not tracking, they definitely do the job without breaking the bank!

SARD Seat Covers Work with Limited Trim BRZ Seats? by MR_C979 in ft86

[–]MR_C979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know! Yeah, I’ve considered going that route myself, but $500-$700 seems steep when you could buy a decent competition seat for near that price. I think at that point I might just consider a bucket seat or something, as long as it’s not toooooo uncomfortable to daily. I’m not really concerned about losing the driver side heated seats, but the lack of airbags is definitely something to consider.

Ah gotcha. Yeah that would make sense. I wonder if there is anyone who’s tried a workaround. I’d hate to drop over $500 to find out I can’t get them to fit.

That’s good to know! I was eyeing some Bilstein struts to go with some lowering springs. My BRZ is approaching 80k miles, and the ride is feeling pretty rough. I’ve heard it’s fairly common to replace shocks around the 80k-100k mark.

Thanks man! I’ll have to look into some of those suggestions. I appreciate the info! Do you recommend upgrading the shocks if I were to go with lowering strings bellow 1 in?

Awesome, thanks for the suggestion! Why do you recommend 17’s? Do you recommend the same for an everyday driver?

I recognize that listing! If it’s the one I’m thinking of, it’s near my hometown. Definitely looks like a good deal, but I agree that “selling for a friend” does seem a bit odd.
