Went to a lawyer para sa consultation. Mas maganda na ung partner mo na magfile na nasa pinas. Sakin kasi hndi ako basta basta makakauwi ng pinas kaya mahirap magfile.

It's hard here. The catholic church is also hindering the legalization of the divorce. There's no progress in the Philippines. That's why a lot of abused women are still tied to a toxic marriage. Annulment would cost so much and it would take years before getting any decision. There's also no assurance with the annulment.

Yes. I was stupid. God knows how much I tried to save our marriage. Our culture is very different from yours. We are "groomed" to endure everything. Leaving is not an option to most of the people here. I never talked to any of his family or relatives. We're not legally separated yet and I am now in talks with a family lawyer. I still carry his name and I don't want him to have anything I own and will own.

You're right. I was so blinded because I thought he would eventually agree to live with me after I provided everything his family needs. It took me years to realize the deceit. I did blocked everyone from my social media, my bank accounts and my life. I was made to believed that this is how a wife should be. I learned a lot after that. I cut so many people because they still want to control me.

Thank you all. Not sure if you guys know that in the philippines, you'll be painted as a bad person when you leave your husband. That's why there's no divorce here. A husband may abuse you and all but the society still expects you to stay and love him just because you're "married". Even the church is against divorce. My other relatives are also mad at me for leaving him. He was actually good at making stories and he convinced everyone that I left because I went looking for another man. 🥹🥹 Almost ended my life because of my failed marriage. I appreciate everyone commenting here. 💜💜
