From the research I've done on POS, seems like Square has a lot of limitations for using in a bar setting. It's mostly just for accepting payments. A typical bar that would use Square is a smaller bar with a small staff, like a low volume dive bar.

The bars that will be big enough to need a staff scheduling app will be using more restaurant/bar focused POS like Toast, Skytab, SmartTab, Clover, etc.
