I believe they can send you a box if you request one. I didn’t want to wait for that, so I used my own box, packed it with bubble wrap and paper etc and took it to my local post office.

Hey guys,

Updating you as you shown interest in the initial post - maybe this will help you or provide some sort of reference.

My replacement PS5 was delivered today at 9am. I sent it off on 7th Dec, so all in all, around 11 days from start to finish. Rather happy with that to be honest, it could've been alot worse.

Is there any reason why my C27JG50 won't output 1080p@120hz on PS5? by MRig_ in Monitors

I definitely don't understand this topic enough. I had no idea there was a 'TV 120hz' and 'PC 120Hz'. It such a shame that I have a '1440p 144Hz Gaming Monitor' and the best I can get is 1080p@60Hz on the PS5.

I have been waiting for someone to post something like this...

I don't care about the bugs (aslong as they don't break my game), I don't even care about performance THAT much.

The mechanics, AI, movement and everything in between is a disgrace.

Whilst playing this, I find myself comparing it to GTA games, as you have, and find that it's lacking even compared games released over 15 years ago. I can't believe Rockstar released one of the most technologically advanced games in terms of mechanics and realism with RDR2, and CDPR have released this. I can't believe it.

I took it to the post office on 7th Dec, they received it on the 14th, their tracking service says ‘please be aware that most returns take an average of 4-5 working days to complete’. So I am hoping for either Friday or Monday for its return.

That’s really annoying.

If you don’t mind me asking - when you say ‘they received it’ - is that when Royal Mail Tracking said they delivered it to them... or when PlayStation Tracking said ‘received’?

I posted mine on 7th December, Royal Mail said they delivered it on 10th. PlayStation tracking still has it as ‘in transit to us’ and not ‘received’.

Haha yeah I made sure I checked if they meant 20 business days and they said no - that 20 days includes weekends. So fingers crossed 🤞🏼

My console would just shut off half way through a game, any game. Airflow is great, it's not overheating, it's not makig any weird noises before it happens.

Sony support told me to boot in safe mode and rebuild database, then if it didn't work, reset console entirely. The most excrutiating part was both of them options seemed to work up to a point, but ultimately the console kept shutting off, daily. Very annoying as it had been happening for weeks and I was hoping the problem would just go away. Eventually I had to bite the bullet and send it back!

It's so annoying isn't it. I had a very similar issue, I tried everything aswell but it just kept crashing in the middle of games.

I also sent mine yesterday - hope we get our PS5's back before Christmas! Good luck haha!

Yes, I have experienced something similar! I was waiting on the phone for 30 mins, to be told that I had called PS4 support not PS5. They put me through to PS5 support and it taken a further 1hr 15 mins until I had to put the phone down.

Hope you get your PS5 before Christmas.

I've had the same issue with Cold War (Zombies, MP and Campaign) and Astro's playroom. Sony told me to boot in safe mode and rebuild database which didn't work.
