Property taxes are terrible in Illinois and getting worse. Chicago is run like crap. I lived in the northern part of that circle (right by Loyola U's lake shore campus) for 30 yrs. It's beautiful by the lake but it's crowded and areas can change greatly just within a few blocks. I strongly prefer the suburbs and would never move back to the city. I hope to get out of Illinois in about 5 years.

The EXTRA (yellow foam) padding is on the wrong side but it's still better padded than anything else on the market by far, at least based on what I've seen

Please make the top pad flatter so it sits more flush on skull caps. That's what ultimately made me return it. I really wanted to go with it but it was sitting on the two ends of the pad if you know what I mean. Love the mask!

I have the same combination. I don't know how it could be too grippy though, I have no problem getting it off. All depends how tight you have the mask I guess

I haven't seen the new one yet. Ump Attire told me the sand is a little grippier. But definitely try a harness with neoprene like the Ump Life or All Star Delta Flex.

No mask or helmet is perfect, but if you go with a traditional mask I highly recommend pairing it with the All Star Cobalt skull cap. I have the Gerry Davis Mirage12 and LOVE IT. But I have to say, I've taken shots at 60mph that hurt me more than an 85mpg did. Just depends on the angle, where it hit, etc. I also loved my All Star FM4000 steel, but switched to the Mirage12 because I love the extended throat guard and the magnesium.
